Peter Cullen Returns as KARR on Knight Rider Series
By Nemesis Prime 2K on Wednesday, December 31, 2008
Not sure if this is news or if this is the right spot for it, but I saw this at the www.kittsite.com the voice of Optimus Prime, Peter Cullen, will be playing KARR on the new Night Rider Series. I was a fan of the original series, but I never knew he Cullen was the voice for KARR. Click the Read More to see the January 21st "Time to Fight Back" episode description with more details on Cullen's appearance.
"TIME TO FIGHT BACK — Sarah (Deanna Russo) is not coping well with her father’s death and decides to leave town. Concerned, Mike (Justin Bruening) goes looking for her and in return gets the answers he has been searching for about his past. Meanwhile, the NSA has decided to dismantle the SSC now that Dr. Graiman (Bruce Davison
) is dead and they can then move forward with KITT’s nemesis KARR. With Torres’ (Yancey Arias) permission they take out KITT’s (voiced by Val Kilmer) chip that contains his personality and memories and place it in KARR (voiced by Peter Cullen). Upset by what has happened, Mike, Sarah, Billy (Paul Campbell) and Zoe (Smith Cho) devise a plan to find where KITT has been taken and get him up and running and destroy the evil KARR once and for all."

The show is fine as long as KITT doesn't transform into anything but his 'attack mode'. I was watching an old Knight Rider episode last Sunday. The story involved a little girl that was dying and needed a matching bone marrow donor to save her. It just so happened that a Latino, L.A... read more

How bad does this show have to be that I don't even want to tune in for a transformer voiced by Peter Cullen...

Yes. They showed a schematic of KARR on a past episode of Knight Rider. It looks like KARR transformer flat into a sort of car frame and into the standing robot we've seen in the commercial.

So, I just saw a preview for the upcoming Knight Rider episodes... and correct me if I'm wrong, but did they go so far as to literally make KARR into a TRANSFORMER? The clips show KITT battling some kind of robot/mech that looks very similar to movie Starscream and appears to be composed of tir... read more

I'm guessing it's still gone even if the ratings are reasonable - that new Jay Leno prime time show means that NBC won't need nearly as many expensive scripted programs.

Thats about what I read. Here's what I'd do to the show to fix it.
LIMIT the transformations, a car that can turn into any Ford is to improbable.
Stop having the car try to figure out what feelings are, it's been done beyond to death.
Throw in more old show tie ins, people always lov... read more

1.) Knight Rider is still airing on NBC.
2.) KARR will make an appearance next Wed. (Yes, voiced by Cullen.)
3.) The season was cut some, but the show has not been canceled. (They've rebooted the series during the hiatus, and once these new episodes air, they will make their final decision the... read more

There's a new Knight Rider series? When the hell did this happen? Isn't KARR the car like KITT on Adult Swim's Stroker and Hoop?
