Planet X Genesis New Colors Images of Alternate Vehicle Mode - Do You Like the G1 Colors?

By Jack on Thursday, December 20, 2012

Planet X have posted some new color images of the Genesis action figure in his vehicle mode. Get a look at the colored test shot that pays homage with War for Cybertron Omega supreme with a stange twist of using G1 colors. While this seems like a logical option, fans seem to be kind of upset with the strange mix and are asking Plant X to do one in game colors. What do you think? Vote in the poll and let us know. Planet X will be shipping prototypes to some shops for their display. More reviews should be available soon!

The Bot mode looks pretty good and his size is nice, but this alt mode just doesn't seem to look like anything coherent. Like I said before the alt mode seems like an afterthought and I will be fine to wait.

I would like to see some in hand pictures of this before I give it a complete "No".

Yeah, this thing could have been a win, just so many unnecessary features whose only purpose it seems is to drive up the cost on this guy. Sorry Px, ordinarily I'd have zero issue jumping on any high-end 3rd party product, but this just doesn't seem very worth it, especially with Platinum Om... read more

Toyworld's gigantic 20 inch tall Construction Combiner is now available for preorder at site sponsor TFSource! The first two parts, C01 Bulldozer and C02 Unearth, AKA Constructions Bonecrusher and Scavenger, are scheduled for December, with two parts scheduled each for January and February. The finished combiner is said to boast LED lights, moving treads, and firing weapons, and each individual figure is priced at $99.99 Keep reading for a preorder link and photos of Bulldozer!
Via the Weibo page of Toyszone, we have a look at one more item on display from Planet X. The recolor of their Genesis, unofficial Omega Supreme inspired by War For Cybertron, Guardian is the Omega Sentinel equivalent in the familiar blue and white colors. The existence of this has been more or less known for a while, but if not our first look at a physical sample outright, it's the first we've had in a while! Given Genesis's pricepoint, troopbuilding Guardian may be out of the question, but it's probably still very welcome for completists. Click through to see both photos.
Badcube was showing at the China International Comics Festival as well, and we've got a few photos of their take on Sunstreaker. Seemingly at a very advanced stage of completion with full paint, while the broad strokes of Sunstreaker are present and represented, the smaller details do sadly look like they might need another pass or two. Only time and further photos will tell how this one will be received when it's actually released. Click through and take a look!
Generation Toy had its products on display at the China International Comic Festival, and in the process offered a first look at their third and fourth Constructicon figures, based on Bonecrusher and Scavenger. "Bulldozer" and "Navvy" can both be seen in their robot modes, and from the backside shots give the impression of holding everything needed to assume their respective arm modes. We also get to see a prototype of the full combined form (from behind) and the small Megatron bonus figure. Keep reading to have a look!
More from the China International Comics Festival, this time a display of Transformission's products, who have entered the world of unofficial products with MP-sized Stunticons. We've seen their Dead End and Breakdown analogues as prototypes before, but notable addition this time is lineart for a Drag Strip, with several noticeable engineering cues lifted from Classics Mirage. Art for Motormaster can also be seen, though with less specific borrowed design concepts in evidence. Click through to check it out!
