Possible New Transformers Generations Design for G1 Optimus Prime with Roller Targetmaster?
Jack - Sunday, January 13, 2013
Thanks to griffin over at Ozformers, who has posted an image from Toy Hobby Retailer magazine of what may be a new Transformers Thanks ot Generations G1 Optimus Prime figure design. The image that appears in a magazine article celebrating Hasbro's 90th year as a toy maker. Is an illustration that depicts an Optimus Prime with man of the hallmarks of the Generation 1 version. What is even cooler is the Roller vehicle presented as a Targetmaster weapon! Take this at face value, as we have no news of a new figure at this time.
As Austin Powers once said, "How'd I miss those baby"... the latest issue of Toy Hobby Retailer magazine has been looking at me for about a month (sitting on my desk next to the computer), and I only just noticed that on the cover "Hasbro montage" (promoting it's major brands in its 90th anniversary this year), there was something to do with Transformers buried in the middle.
Taking a closer look, I realised that I didn't recognise the toy artwork at all... but knew that it was Gen1 Optimus (it is definitely NOT TFPrime or Movie Optimus), with a gun that appears to have truck parts on it (blue cab with windshield and lights, three sets of "wheels" on the side).
So, could 2013 see a Generations line with a gimmick of convertible weapons like the Powercore Combiners or Arms Micron... with the weapons turning into drone vehicles instead of Minicons/Microns?
I guess we'll find out in about a month's time at the American Toyfair. But for now, enjoy this teaser...

I'm all for this with the idea/hope of more Targetmasters to come. As is, more Generations stuff is good. Guess Toyfare will tell.
This has my attention. Can t wait to see more!
I could be tempted, if only for the inevitable third party upgrades, or the hopeful Thunderclash or Pyro repaint.
i'm into it. 30th anniversary g1 line??
Looks more like a blue G1 Huffer with the truck windows at the back.
The split chest reminds me of the Movie-verse style. I guess its ok. Not sure about that Roller idea... would be neat if they could figure out how to get that gun platform from the Combat Deck to be a targetmaster weapon. But if Roller is actually what that is, hopefully that means a trailer will al... read more
From chuckdawg1999: "Better late than never! Soundwave has been a bit hard to find in the US, but I was able to finally get the figure. Like most repaints/retools there are some things better on Soundwave and some things that are worse. Overall what I liked about Blaster, I like about Soundwave and I'm happy to have what I feel is a proper update to the G1 toy." Keep reading to see the review!

In short order after finally becoming available in online retail, the first in-store sightings in the US have popped up for Leader Class Sixshot. The first report from Megablah shows Sixshot in a Target in an unspecified location in California - small area to check, we know. Subsequently we've heard of at least one other sighting in a Portland, OR Target. It looks like Target is the place to check right now, especially on the west coast. And if you're wondering if it's worth getting out looking, check out our review of Titans Return Sixshot! Keep reading for photo proof of the California sighting.
Major online retailers such as site sponsor Big Bad Toy Store are now receiving Titans Return Voyager Wave 3! We've got our first crack at two entirely new molds in this wave, each of which will later become a Triplechanger. So who's in the wave and what do we know about these? Read on to find out!
