Prepare to Drool Over Official Looks of Transformers Generations Deluxe Ultra Magnus, Sideswipe, Starscream, and Fireflight
Peter Van - Tuesday, May 01, 2012

Over the weekend at BotCon 2012, we learned that Hasbro is preparing to offer additional Transformers Generations figures in 2013 inspired by the Transformers Fall of Cybertron video game.

Fireflight and Kickback

Deluxe Ultra Magnus, Sideswipe, Starscream, and Fireflight are just a few of the toys that will help round out the 40 figures that will be out next calendar year.

To assist in the expansion, Hasbro will also introduce Voyager and Legion class figures.

Sideswipe and Starscream

While we saw Kickback displayed in the dealer room this past weekend at BotCon, Hasbro has released the official images of Ultra Magnus (Optimus Prime repaint with new head mold), Sideswipe, Starscream, and Fireflight (Shockwave repaint)!

Drool over all of them in the gallery.

That's because Optimus isn't supposed to be that bulky. FOC Ultra Magnus will look great standing next to WFC Optimus Prime.

It's stupid of Hastak not to create 2 easy repaints of any starscream mold, possibly the only repaints that many of us collectors will pick up on a regular basis. I'm sooo getting an extra Starscream to turn into Dogfight!

It would be stupid of Hasbro not to crank out 2 easy repaints of that Starscream mold.

I already knew I was grabbing up 2 Shockwaves for parts swapping with earth mode Jazz. Now I'm debating picking up 2 Fireflights for parts swapping with HFTD Terradive... that head screams Bomb-burst to me

Really? I hadn't noticed. That is sneaky, but in a good way. I think speaks to colors used on the Jazz toy how they're so dull.

Oddly that mold looks so much better to me with Magnus' colors than it does as Prime.

In what we assume is the final day of Cybertron Con in Shanghai, we're bringing some more looks at the Titans Return product displays. Thanks to the same Weibo user that produced the great photo shoot of Leader Class Sixshot, we have equally detailed looks at many of the other new toys being shown off: Hot Rod, Kickback, Voyagers Optimus Prime and Megatron, Bumblebee, and Gnaw, some showing angles or details previously unseen! We've mirrored these photos, so click through to have a look and for the photographer credit.
While so far we haven't heard of anymore new toy reveals from Cybertron Con in its third day, we do have a new look at one of the big ones from earlier in the show. We've come upon a large number of excellent photos of the Sixshot samples on display, showing numerous angles, and lots of up close detail on all on Sixshot's modes! While we can't properly credit the Weibo user here on the front page due to Chinese character support issues, you can read on to see the proper credit and the mirrored photos in the full article below!
It's the start of the third day of Cybertron Con in Shanghai, and 52Toys is once again providing coverage of the event. Today preview clips and development art for Machinima's Combiner Wars series is being shared. Video of the clips has been shot and posted on Weibo, which you can find embedded below. Meanwhile, we've mirrored the shots from the panel presentation featuring character art, location designs and more, and you can find all that in the full post below. Combiner Wars begins streaming in the US on go90 on August 2nd
It looks like Deluxe wave 2 of Titans return isn't far off, since southeast Asia looks like it's starting to see them turn up. To that end we have another set of in hand photos for the group of Chromedome, Highbrow, Mindwipe, and Wolfwire - formerly Weirdwolf. These detailed photos do great showing off each toy, though Highbrow seems to only have detail shots, no full figure images in either mode. But besides that, this set of photos does demonstrate a welcome design tweak from wave 1! You can find out more about that, and check out the pictures below.
This week on Radio Free Cybertron: We've hit peak Megatron. With Mightron on the way, and Despotron shortly after, can we move past Third Party G1 Megatron? Also on the show, we compare Titans Return to the Takara Legends figures on display at Wonderfest, we discuss Hasbro's new Prime trademark application, Brian reminisces on OTFCC 2003 and its amazing dance party. All that and more on this week's RFC!
