More MasterPiece News
Thanks to Alfes2010 we have a nice assortment of photos of Masterpiece Optimus Primal to share today. Alfes2010 seems to have gotten one just a tiny bit early and has tweeted out some nice shots, including a group shot with prior Optimus Primal toys that may help give a sense of scale, plus just some nice overviews of the figure in general. The only seeming blemish is that in this example it appears the shoulder flaps can't quite close and cover all the robot arm detailing in beast mode. You can check out all of the photos below!
On Facebook, Robotkingdom has posted some photos showing the packaging for Masterpiece MP-32 Optimus Primal. Due to be released at the end of the week, we get a first look at the final retail packaging, plus something extra. The Asia release is coming with the toy-originated skull mace as a bonus, and it has some great packaging of its own, designed to look like a crate of bananas. Of course inside there are no bananas, and the tray the mace sits in simply looks like cracked stone. But it's a nice stylistic touch just the same. Keep reading to see!
Via Facebook, from a currently unidentified source, we have higher resolution and better quality images from the magazine pages that revealed MP-36 Megatron. Notably we have a good look at the accessory array, which contains among other things a Key To Vector Sigma, the helmet used to control the Optimus Prime clone in "A Prime Problem", the gun and beam sabre from the movie, and several option parts. Small insets demonstrate attack modes with the gun mode add-ons, as well. Keep reading to see it all!
TFW2005 member oku has shared magazine... well, photos! Definitely not scans - of a hobby magazine set to reveal the previously-leaked Masterpiece Megatron as MP-36! It looks a fair bit better than the previous MP Megatron, and comes with some interesting accessories, including Transformers: The Movie battle-damaged chestplate and helmet! Keep reading to see the photos!
While we learned about this accessory back in May, thanks to Hobbybase we now have full, non-silhouette photos of the diecast Megatron gun included with the reissue of MP29 Shockwave. And it looks nice! This will be the bonus item shipped out with the figure for the Hasbro Asia release, so if you have a retailer of choice in non-Japanese Asian territories, you may want to see about a preorder. Keep reading for photos!
