Via an anonymous source, we have packaged photos of a Platinum Series three pack of the G1 Insecticons. These toys were reissued several years ago exclusively at Toys R Us - largely featuring replacement names due to trademarking issues, something this set corrects. We have no information on pricing or intended time of release, however there's a cross-sell on the box that shows the "Seeker Squadron" of Thrust, Dirge and Ramjet. Click through for the photos, and keep watch for future updates on these sets!
These days, invariably, you will find good condition factory sealed vintage Generation 1 Transformers preserved, immortalized, imprisoned, desecrated (delete as appropriate) in an acrylic display case, with a grade attached. The AFA – or Action Figure Authority – grade toys like Transformers be they factory sealed, opened and unused or even loose.
Planet Iacon has posted images of the next assortment of Kids Logic's 9cm SD minifigures! Largely the assortment is recolors of existing molds - Skywarp, Thundercracker, Soundblaster, and Ultra Magnus are recolors of Starscream, Soundwave, and Optimus Prime. But we also add the Insecticon Kickback to the mix! Keep reading to see the photos! UPDATE! These figures will be available at Toy Soul 2014, a Hong Kong toy convention happening this weekend. Link to Kids Logic's page added for more details!
Gothamist reports that Transformers Generation One will be taken out of circulation on Netflix on January 1st 2015. If you've yet to (re)watch the series and have a Netflix subscription, you've got two weeks to get some friends together and catch it while you can! GI Joe is also on the chopping block, so consider setting aside some time to recreate your weekday afternoons before the turn of the year. Keep reading for the full list of shows and films leaving Netflix next year!
It's that time of year again, time to donate to Toys For Tots. If you are going out shopping between now and Christmas, we are asking all of our readers to take the opportunity to pick up at least one unwrapped toy and drop it off at a local Toys For Tots drop-off location. It can really make a difference in helping those less fortunate.
