Rainn Wilson (The Office) has told MTV that he has joined the cast of "Transformers 2." Mr. Wilson describes to MTV that it will be a "small role" as a professor at Princeton University, the school that Shia LaBeouf's character Sam Witwicky will attend in the sequel.

The character was described as a Professor Colan, a man in his 40s, and is Sam's physics professor at the university. His character is said to be a self-satisfied intellectual who compares himself to Einstein, and is arrogant enough to wear leather pants to look cool.

Remember, though, director Michael Bay has denied the legitimacy of this character list, but based on Mr. Wilson's performance on the show "The Office," it is not hard to imagine him playing this character quite well.
