Revenge of the Fallen Video Game Trailer, Screens
Darth Caine - Thursday, February 05, 2009

We have posted a trailer to Activision's Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen: The Game as well as some screen shots of the Playstation 3 variant of the video game.

The game "will give fans the chance to experience their favorite Autobots and Decepticons in an all-new, movie-inspired adventure packed with the thrilling and explosive action that only the Transformers universe can deliver," said Rob Kostich, vice president of global brand management, Activision, Inc.

Mr. Kostich also says that the new movie-based game will feature multiplayer action. "We are thrilled to announce that after experiencing the rush of commanding colossal robots on their own, players can challenge their friends for the first time ever in full-featured, blistering multiplayer action as their favorite characters."

The game will be released on multiple platforms from a slew of developers. The following is the list of developers and the platform the company is responsible for:

Luxoflux - Xbox 360 and PS3
Beenox Studios - PC
Krome Studios - Nintendo Wii and PS2
Vicarious Visions - Nintendo DS
Savage Entertainment - PSP.

IGN reports that the PS2 and Wii versions will utilize "the individual platform features to deliver an intense third-person action adventure game that combines dynamic robot combat with arcade-style vehicle sequences and flight-based levels."

The DS will get one title for Autobots and one title for Decepticons, and the PSP will be a "fast-paced action arcade title."

Activision, Inc. has not announced release dates for the game, but we will let you know as soon as we do.

The end of the video also features a transformation of the classic Decepticon logo into the face we have been familiar with as of late.

That was a great trailer. It might not have been perfect, but I was entertained by the first game and enjoyed it enough to play through it 100%. The ROTF game is being developed by different studios than the first (though still distributed by Activision), so I have high hopes for an even better ga... read more

The reason I love this, the teaser trailer, the new Constructicon pics & video review, the phone survey... it is putting to rest the idea of "the Fallen" as an actual character. People were reading into that way too much, I especially like the youtube comments of people convinced tha... read more

Weibo user NOTRAB has shared another update of photos featuring the just-revealed MPM-4 Movie Masterpiece Optimus Prime. This batch focuses on answering one of the most important questions: How big is it? Particularly how tall compared to Revenge of The Fallen Leader Class Optimus, long considered to be a high point in engineering this design. At the same time, these side by side comparisons should help dispel any notion of this being a retool of that prior figure, as every visible part between them is very clearly different. The photos are mirrored below, click through and check it out.
Following their Superior Optimus Prime statues what melds aspects of the Generation 1 and Movie characters. Prime 1 Studio bring us Superior Megatron. The teaser image doesn't give up a whole lot, with a look at what may be his chest plate, but we'll be seeing more of this guy soon enough.
Following the earlier reveal, we have some new images and a story of the Transformers Superior Optimus Prime from Prime 1 Studio that is a Generation 1 and Movie Mash-up bust statue. The Superior one is said to part of the Transformers: Age of Time universe. It was designed by Josh Izzi who has sculpted statues for the other Premium Masterline Transformers statues before. Read on to see the details and new looks at Prime's face and the bust for more info.
As it turns out, several days ago Michael Bay stopped to have a quick chat with MTV in a video clip available on MTV's Facebook page. The questions focused mostly on next year's Bumblebee spinoff movie, with a bit of the conceptual angle of it revealed. There was also the ever-present question of whether Bay was truly leaving the franchise behind now. Whether he is or not (his response was decidedly non-committal) he did say he wants to direct one of the later spinoff movies, so he's likely to be back in some capacity or another no matter what. Keep reading to see more.
Prime 1 Studio is proud to present MMTFM-14: Shockwave from The Transformers: Dark of the Moon. Shockwave was left to watch Cybertron by Megatron long ago, arriving on Earth to hunt for the AllSpark shortly after Megatron. A peerless scientist with deadly efficiency and a cold devotion to logic, he is one of the very few who could rival Megatron. Shockwave is ready and willing to destroy the Autobots with his arm-mounted AstroMag Cannon.
