Rumor - Decepticon Is Offed in Transformers 3

By bwbm on Sunday, August 15, 2010

While it is not rare for a Transformer to die in the Transformers franchise (e.g., The Fallen, Megatron [even though he came back]) a recent rumor indicates that another will join that list in Transformers 3: Starscream.

This heard-through-the-grapevine rumor was posted on the website Strictly Fitted, where a member of their website met Lester Speight (Gears of War 2) who plays Hardcore Eddie in the film, who is rumored to kill the giant robot.

Due to the status of the rumor, take this one with salt for now until we can have something more substantial.

I suppose that's why there was a big picture of Starscream right next to the article on the front page.

Pfft... I think it's a rumor, but based on the evidence found in the last two movies, I also wouldn't be surprised if it's true. And in my opinion? That's a little sad.

Wow, calm down, brother. I don't know of any other way that we can make it succinct and different than any other news that's out there in the forums and on Tformers.com. If I were to generalize it, with, say, "Transformer is killed in Transformers 3," where will we begin to draw... read more

The mind of Micheal Bay is a truely frightening place. Humans kill giant alien robots, Robots hump Megan Foxes' leg, Devastator has "balls", and the world is just a giant explosion waiting to take place. Quite frankly this wouldn't surprise me if it turns out to be true, Blackou... read more

Starscream being killed by a mere human...totally believable in Bayverse! Thank all that is sacred about Transformers that this is the third and FINAL de-Bay-cle! After it's all said and done...the first one would have been enough.

It's only a spoiler if you believe the rumor. You are not being told what will happen or who it might be happening to. Heck, at least one Decepticon died in the first two movies, so it's not like this will be something entirely unexpected either.

his death will somehow be the punch line to a fart joke, immediately preceding a helicopter crashing and exploding

This isn't about the spoiler imparticular, but WHY IN THE NAME OF FUCK WOULD YOU MAKE THE SPOILER THE GOD DAMN TITLE OF THE NEWS ARTICLE? If you have any, and I mean ANY suspicion this might be real, hide that information until someone goes in the thread. I feel sorry for people trying to avo... read more

In a keynote at MIP Junior 2015, Hasbro's Stephen Davis touched on many topics related to the company's media franchises. In the process of answering questions, he revealed that the recently concluded writers room did not just plan Transformers 5, but that they worked to plot Transformers movies for the next ten years, which he suggests will take the property through an eighth film. He also specifically mentions Michael Bay's involvement once again, to no one's particular surprise. Video of the event has been posted to Youtube, so click through to have a look!
Today Deadline is reporting that TJ Fixman, known perhaps best to this audience For his contributions to the Ratchet & Clank series, has been hired in to Hasbro Studios as a creative consultant. Fixman's role will be to work with the existing media producers to help develop the fiction and media sides of the major brands, including Transformers. It sounds like Hasbro Studios is making a serious effort to up their media game, and only time will tell what influence will be seen from this latest addition.
Thanks to Genmon Photo Vault on Facebook, we have some nice photos of the Platinum G1 Dinobots. These are the Generations Series AOE Dinobots in classic colors and with G1-based robot heads, which for better or worse are probably the nearest we're going to get to true Classics Dinobots anywhere in the foreseeable future. Fortunately on that front, these come off looking quite nice with these decos and their retooling. Click through to check out the photos!
Hold up before you sign that check and buy a used car, because there's a statue of a robot you may want to think about first! Prime 1 Studio has posted an extensive image gallery of their elaborate Museum Masterline Transformers Galvatron statue, and it looks pretty impressive! (As it should for an SRP of $1,899 USD!) The Exclusive edition - limited to 888 pieces where the Standard run is 1,000 - includes Megatron's severed head. Keep reading to see!
In a message posted just a short time ago to michaelbay.com and his own Twitter account, Michael Bay states that as of right now he has not officially joined the production of the next Transformers movie. In the very brief and to-the-point statement, Bay notes that he has taken at least one meeting already and that things are being discussed. However, given Bay's track record, we don't expect to see Transformers 5 with someone else ultimately in the director's chair. Stay tuned here for more updates!
