SDCC 2008 Exclusive: Diamond Select G1 Prime Bust

By bwbm on Tuesday, April 22, 2008 @ 08:57:27 AM

Diamond Select Toys has revealed their first exclusive for the San Diego Comic-Con 2008 today as the Generation 1 Animated Optimus Prime bust. The 750-piece is exclusively available only at the convention for a $60 retail price.

SDCC Optimus Prime Exclusive Rolls Out!

DST’s first exclusive for this year’s San Diego Comic Con is ready to roll out, and it’s none other than the Transformers G1 Animated Optimus Prime bust! Only available at this year’s San Diego Comic Con and limited to only 750 pieces, this bust delivers a highly detailed sculpt showing off Optimus Prime at his best – in his original animation-style color palette!

Beginning in 1984, the Generation 1 Transformers animated series introduced an entire generation to the Autobots and Decepticons and launched one of the world’s most popular brands into immortality. Transformers collectibles expanded to explore the wide realm of Transformers continuity in the years to follow, yet the original Generation 1 series has remained the popular, recognized and successful core of the Transformers universe.

The SDCC Transformers G1 Animated Optimus Prime combines a rich history and classic style to create one of the most definitive Transformers collectibles in memory and will be available for $60 only during the 2008 San Diego Comic Con.
