Mark Woodberry talks about creating rides based on pop culture properties. They like to collaborate with the originator and this started with the Jurassic Park ride and followed by rides for James Cameron, and Revenge of the Mummy.

All those things have been brought into making Transformers the Ride 3-D, set for a launch in 2012. Involves state-of-art motion ride with 4D project imagery.

Michael Bay is a consultant on the ride and they have tapped Cullen and Welker as Prime and Megatron for the ride voices. Other voice talent from Transformers history are also included as voices in the ride.

Ride is based on the NEST mission to find the shard of Allspark. NEST needs the Autobot's help to transport the shard and Evac helps them out. Ride will feature face-offs with Ravage and other Dececpticons.

The next scene we are treated to is with Prime as we follow him through the streets of Chicago to complete mission. Ride flies though air and up on top of buildings, with Prime saying "Only you can save the Universe."

So far I'm loving the TFP toys especially the cons I want voyager Starscream, Skyquake, Soundwave, Knockout.....Yum. DOTM toys seem meh to me, I get the deluxe Soundwave. The HA Soundwave seems to be disappointing, alt mode is nice bot mode....not so much. However I do like the way Lazerbeak... read more

Unicron would also triple in price on the first day on Amazon. The prices there are crazier then eBay's EDIT - Nevermind I was wrong loosk like Amazon is getting Unicron. Damn and here I thought Hasbro learned from the Piranacon Mistake with BBTS So I guess keep an eye on Amazon. Hopefully we ... read more

Those aren't even chicken legs because even chicks have legs. Those appear to be tiny tri-pods at the end of his knees. I keep looking at the pic but I just dont see any mass anywhere that would indicate its mistransformed. Makes me sad in my heat.

I hope you're right regarding HA Soundwave. l would hate to skip on him because of chicken legs.

HA Soundwave has to be mistransformed. His legs look tiny. Deluxe is freakin awesome. Will be buying all of them however. Prime Soundwave looks way better then his CGI model. Don't care too much for anything else aside from Dark Steel and Junkheap. Playschool Bots looks cool though.

Probably Hasbro going, you didn't order enough, while Walmart probably ordered 100 times more then Amazon. So Walmart Got Unicron. Most people would rather shop at Walmart then Amazon. its all in how much money can Hasbro make Look at Big Bad Toy Store. They are still trying to unload Piranac... read more

What happened to Unicron being an Amazon exclusive?

I do NOT like Soundwave's MechTech weapon. Looks goofy in alt mode. Soundwave however... The "red" Ironhide looks decent enough, but they're still using that horrible Voyager mold So to get Leadfoot you have to get Topspin again? LAME Prime Wheeljack looks hawt Evac looks ... read more

Botcon.com has posted the announcement today that Scott McNeil will be attending as a guest at Botcon 2016 in Louisville. While a complete listing of Scott's voice roles would occupy more space than the observable universe, naturally he's most relevant for his work on Beast Wars with four major characters to his name - and one minor role that happens to be fairly important to this year's exclusive box set: Tripredacus Council member Cicadacon. This will be Scott's seventh Botcon appearance.
Fun Publications has released the brochure for Botcon 2016, taking place in early April in Lexington, Kentucky. As such we now have the pricing info for the various convention packages, featuring a primus Package set at $399 - a reduction from the cost of 2015's box set. As well we now know what form the tour events will take, as well as some updated policy related in the brochure that everyone should make sure to be aware of. Keep reading for all the details!
The trademark-watchers over at Transformers@The Moon have posted a curious piece of news this morning: Hasbro has filed a trademark with the US Patent Office for the name "Cybertron Con," which is the name of the official Transformers convention in Asia. It's far too early to tell whether this means a name change for BotCon, a new convention, or simply a "defensive" trademark so no fan group can take it in the US, but at any rate, it's an interesting development! Keep reading for a link to the original story.
Via their social media channels, Fun Publications has revealed which of the three Combiner Wars Voyager body-types will be used for the fifth member of next year's boxset. General Sea Clamp will find himself embodied in Silverbolt - or at least, one of two variations. With no specific alt mode attributes visible in this teaser art, it's unclear if it will be Silverbolt specifically, or the retool as Scattershot. That will have to wait for the actual mockup reveal, due tomorrow. Meanwhile, click through for the art, taking us back to a better time in Transformers.
Botcon.com has been updated with the fourth reveal of the 2016 boxset's exclusives. As indicated in yesterday's art reveal, the newest figure is Cicadacon, a straight red and silver recolor of Aerialbot Skydive. With five new heads having been noted for this set of toys, that confirms the combined form will have a unique headsculpt. And this leaves us with just the torso remaining to be revealed as most likely General Sea Clamp, and so the wait begins to see which Voyager mold they've colored red and silver! Keep reading for the Cicadacon mockup image.
