John Barber takes over from Andy Schmidt as a writer, based on where he wants things to go. Plan is to put together an exciting story, that follows Chaos. Centers around clash ideology.

Mike Costa comments on Chaos end: At end of Chaos, there is almost a finale and will see the launch of two new series to have Roberts and Barber to edit. Costa says he will step down and pass the mantle. Fans will really like where they leave the story. Goes where TFs never been before. Amazing story.

More Than Meets the Eye is written by James Roberts, with art by Nick Roche

Questions and Answers
There's a special reason why there are two comics. A change in the status- of the Transformers. Though the universe will not change.

Transformers artists work with IDW and Hasbro on creating artwork.

Cosmos Character Spotlight was not done. There's no plan to do it. He is featured in Ongoing 9-12 in the International Incident.

As much as Bay raped the TFs, they did create some very interesting concepts with some different Transformers and so forth.

IDW does not force artists to draw in a house style, They allow them to do what they do and bring they own style and interpretation.

There is some background coming on the Original 13, but nothing is set yet. Hasbro has plans they
want to accommodate as it comes together. They worked on notes for the story, but Chaos kind of took over all their time. So the project is TBD at this time.

There are plans for the Dinobots. John says they are "the only TFs..." Win win situation, if you ain't gonna mess with a dinosaur or a giant robot.

Very good chance of GI Joe / Transformers comic.

Wreckers, nothing new coming. But check out Robots in Disguise.

Furman and Wildman will return with Transformers #81! The comic is coming in 2012 and will run from issue #81 to #100. Each story will be told with every question answered!

Tom Walts on GI Joe. They have a plan in place to bring in a new Cobra commander. Whoever kills the
most Joe's wins. They have plan based on action comics. Not on the classic story.

Civil War Cobra
Mike Costa and Werther Dell'edera.

First story ends with #4, and starts new in 5. Return to the Chameleon character for the new issues.
Like a big puzzle where they will tie up everything at the end.

Real American Hero
New story starts with 170.

Cobra Commander
Who will be the new Cobra. Starting with issue 9, they will be crating a ral crossover with all three stories tied together. Said to be a shocking event. Should be somewhat violent.

Big property in the 1980s. Bring the story up to date. First original comic book. Written by RA Salvator. Artist Agust Pedio. Covers by Conzola FLores, Tim Seelly,

Will be able top play comic as an adventure.

Ooh! Exciting news about #81! Marvel doesn't own the rights to Transformers anymore. Titan Books reprinted a lot of G1 and G2 issues - both US and UK runs. IDW have reprinted select issues (also from US and UK) but their reprint quality's -- to be blunt - just crap. Also, unlike T... read more

Not satisfied with messing up alternate versions of the G1 cast, IDW's now going to directly ruin the originals. Great. These guys turned Jazz into a human-killer, but at least it was an alternate incarnation. Now they get to pi** on the classic versions too. Just wonderful.

Has Marvel rereleased the original 80 issues in an easy to read format?

Botcon.com has posted the announcement today that Scott McNeil will be attending as a guest at Botcon 2016 in Louisville. While a complete listing of Scott's voice roles would occupy more space than the observable universe, naturally he's most relevant for his work on Beast Wars with four major characters to his name - and one minor role that happens to be fairly important to this year's exclusive box set: Tripredacus Council member Cicadacon. This will be Scott's seventh Botcon appearance.
Fun Publications has released the brochure for Botcon 2016, taking place in early April in Lexington, Kentucky. As such we now have the pricing info for the various convention packages, featuring a primus Package set at $399 - a reduction from the cost of 2015's box set. As well we now know what form the tour events will take, as well as some updated policy related in the brochure that everyone should make sure to be aware of. Keep reading for all the details!
The trademark-watchers over at Transformers@The Moon have posted a curious piece of news this morning: Hasbro has filed a trademark with the US Patent Office for the name "Cybertron Con," which is the name of the official Transformers convention in Asia. It's far too early to tell whether this means a name change for BotCon, a new convention, or simply a "defensive" trademark so no fan group can take it in the US, but at any rate, it's an interesting development! Keep reading for a link to the original story.
Via their social media channels, Fun Publications has revealed which of the three Combiner Wars Voyager body-types will be used for the fifth member of next year's boxset. General Sea Clamp will find himself embodied in Silverbolt - or at least, one of two variations. With no specific alt mode attributes visible in this teaser art, it's unclear if it will be Silverbolt specifically, or the retool as Scattershot. That will have to wait for the actual mockup reveal, due tomorrow. Meanwhile, click through for the art, taking us back to a better time in Transformers.
Botcon.com has been updated with the fourth reveal of the 2016 boxset's exclusives. As indicated in yesterday's art reveal, the newest figure is Cicadacon, a straight red and silver recolor of Aerialbot Skydive. With five new heads having been noted for this set of toys, that confirms the combined form will have a unique headsculpt. And this leaves us with just the torso remaining to be revealed as most likely General Sea Clamp, and so the wait begins to see which Voyager mold they've colored red and silver! Keep reading for the Cicadacon mockup image.
