SDCC 2012 - IDW Publishing Panel Reveals Transformers Prime Comic, Fall of Cybertron Digital Prequel Comic Book

We have just stepped out of the IDW Publishing panel here at San Diego Comic Con 2012, and we have some great news for you! Not only will IDW be offering a comic to lead into the third season of Transformers Prime titled Rage of the Dinobots, but they have also announced an online-only comic book that will serve as the prequel to Transformers Fall of Cybertron video game. Fall of Cybertron Art Book
The Fall of Cybertron Art Book is a collaborative effort with Hasbro and High Moon and will offer a behind-the-scenes look of Transformers Fall of Cybertron


Fall of Cybertron Prequel Digital Comic
Broken up into eight parts, the prequel series will be hitting online bi-Weekly stating in August
12. The series will offer the back story on the game and is written by John Barber with Dheeraj Verma on pencils.


Transformers Prime Rage of the Dinobots
Despite saying at BotCon 2012 that the company will be focusing on Transformers More Than Meets the Eye and Robots In Disguise books, IDW has come out and announced that they will be developing a Transformers Prime book that is in the same continuity as the show and will lead up to the third season of the television series.

The series will follow the continuity established in the show, game and comic and centers around the Dinobots taking their last stand on a dead Cybertron after the Autobots leave.

The Dinobots are a crack team of soldiers that are on their own against powerful forces and are working to save the planet.

This series will take into consideration the War for Cybertron and Fall of Cybertron as well as the Exiles and Exodus stories.

IMHO Below: after Chaos & having bumblebee as the autobot faction leader. I lost all faith in IDW TF comics. I haven't bought a IDW TF comic since decenber 2011. I'm probably only going to buy the IDW TF Re-generation comics & that's it. I'll buy these ever 6 months via tra... read more

More Conventions Center News
The final Auto Assembly takes place next weekend in Birmingham, England, and there's been some interesting developments! First is that, for the first time ever, the convention has official exclusives! AA and Roll Out Roll Call have partnered with the Collectors Club to offer a selection of this year's BotCon pieces at their shows. There is also going to be a very limited print by G1 and ReGeneration One artist Andrew Wildman available at the show! Read on for more details!
TFCon Charlotte has announced a new guest: Gregg Berger, voice of Grimlock in both G1 and the upcoming Transformers Devastation! Berger will be onhand all weekend for Q&A panels and autograph sessions. Read on for more details!
