SDCC 2012 - IDW Publishing Panel Reveals Transformers Prime Comic, Fall of Cybertron Digital Prequel Comic Book

We have just stepped out of the IDW Publishing panel here at San Diego Comic Con 2012, and we have some great news for you! Not only will IDW be offering a comic to lead into the third season of Transformers Prime titled Rage of the Dinobots, but they have also announced an online-only comic book that will serve as the prequel to Transformers Fall of Cybertron video game. The character will interconnect both the More Than Meets the Eye and Robots In Disguise comics and the Transformers find an unexpected thing on Cybertron.


Fall of Cybertron Art Book
The Fall of Cybertron Art Book is a collaborative effort with Hasbro and High Moon and will offer a behind-the-scenes look of Transformers Fall of Cybertron


Fall of Cybertron Prequel Digital Comic
Broken up into eight parts, the prequel series will be hitting online bi-Weekly stating in August
12. The series will offer the back story on the game and is written by John Barber with Dheeraj Verma on pencils.


Transformers Prime Rage of the Dinobots
Despite saying at BotCon 2012 that the company will be focusing on Transformers More Than Meets the Eye and Robots In Disguise books, IDW has come out and announced that they will be developing a Transformers Prime book that is in the same continuity as the show and will lead up to the third season of the television series.

The series will follow the continuity established in the show, game and comic and centers around the Dinobots taking their last stand on a dead Cybertron after the Autobots leave.

The Dinobots are a crack team of soldiers that are on their own against powerful forces and are working to save the planet.

This series will take into consideration the War for Cybertron and Fall of Cybertron as well as the Exiles and Exodus stories.

Just in from BaCon is a quick shot of all the Hasbro SDCC exclusives, including Knights of Unicron and the G1 Dinobots featured on an order form catalog from the Hasbro Toy Shop booth. Hasbro's offering a diverse assortment of exclusive merchandise at the show this weekend, and at least a little bit of all of it should come up available on Hasbro Toy Shop online for those who can;t make it out in person this year.
Hasbro Toy Shop is offering 10% off your next order from the online store using coupon code COMIC2014. This code is good through August 10th, but despite the timing of the release will not be valid towards SDCC exclusives when they are posted for sale on HTS. Other standard exclusions apply towards specific large items, and of course tax and shipping are calculated separately!
