SDCC 2012 - Transformers Prime Display at Wednesday Night Preview Shows Off Thundertron
Jack Q - Wednesday, July 11, 2012

The second part of our walkaround of the Hasbro display area includes the Transformers Prime toyline. Not really any surprises here unless you count Thundertron, which makes its debut in October 2012 for $19.99. Unfortunately Ultra Magnus and Skyquake have not been sited, but be sure to check out the entire display in our gallery.

Yeah, I wouldn't kick a Camaro out of the garage myself but I prefer a Mustang by a long stretch. And absolutely. In the last month before Christmas Bumblebee was a no show in my area, and in the last week there were no TFs anywhere. I went to Target and they had 1 FAB Frenzy left. I passed on ... read more

Nah, Bumblebee was a fad and nothing more,as for the new camero it does it on its own. Though I never wanted one myself, I'm more of a Mustang owner myself

Rob is onto something. I think kids may be over it now but at one point, BB was the IT character like Optimus Prime is to most of us. And all of the new Camaro's sold since then probably had a little help from the movies. Hell, i want one and i don't like Bumblebee.

And I still remember Christmas 2007 when there was nary a dan Bumblebee to be found. I eventually had to get a Premium series BB. Seriously, the Target 2 packs disappeared fast, FABs were empty, no Bumblebee of any kind anywhere. I never thought at that time I'd come to prefer it that way....

How can they cry about not getting a BB? Every TRU I go to has at least 30 of them in at least 4 different series types. That's like going to the supermarket and crying there's no ice cream

I've never heard a kid cry because they didn't have a Bumblebee, Skywarp on the other hand....

See it's the exact opposite here. I can hear kids clamoring for BB before I even get to the aisle. They over saturated that.

Yes you can and so can I, I still remember when the 2007 toys came out, a dad showed a Bumblebee to his son, and his son said no he wanted Barricade instead. So that is how I know all this about BB is BS. Hopefully the retailers will just too the Bumblebee's on the death shelves of clearance t... read more

RAC reviews SDCC Tablet Soundwave! It's a nice figure, about Voyager sized, and you might think the articulation is a mite weird and limited in places - but that's a tradeoff for its one trick. And what a trick. Click here to read the review!
Soundwave is an impressive figure! It turns into a super-thin tablet and amazingly, is not really frustrating to transform in any way. The only downsides: it doesn't look much like Soundwave, and that backpack is so close to being a fun little Laserbeak figure. Keep reading to see 65 images of Soundwave!
TFND has posted a wealth of images from their 12th annual event in Taipei, and somebody brought a lot of interesting toys to the con, some as yet unreleased! Most notably on that front there's MP Delta Magnus, and Unite Warriors Computron standing shoulder to shoulder with his Combiner Wars counterpart! (And stealing his hands and feet!) All that and more after the jump, so keep reading!
Just a simple reminder that if you want SDCC Fortress Maximus, the Titan Force boxset with Sentinel Prime, Brainstorm, and Windblade, Tablet Soundwave, or the Transformers And GI Joe boxset, today is the day to get them on HasbroToyShop! They all read "out of stock" as of this writing, but should be available for purchase later today. Keep reading for links to all four sets as well as a general link for Hasbro's SDCC exclusives!
Artist James Raiz has posted a video of the highlights of his trip to Shanghai for Cybertron Con 2016! The 4-minute video gives us a taste of the sights and sounds of the con as well as guest appearances by artists Alex Milne and Sara Pitre-Durocher and writer John Barber, as well as Peter Cullen!
