Fan Built Bot

Fans choose new character that will be made into a new toy. Shows character sketches. Shows female type figure with jet mode. Looks like Arcee with jet wings. Samurai kind of look.

Jet looks like a herrier kind of jet with turbines in the wings.

Finally, they chose a Fembot character with a sword that is said to be a turbine tornado buster. It charges up in the sheath as the "Tornado Blade" or whatever they call it.

Theme was chosen for samurai with red and black named Windblade. Lots of details and colors on face ala kubuki kind of deco. Coming end of 2014 as a deluxe scale figure in the Generations line.

They create lore around her and are talking to IDW about comics and other things they have planned to promote the figure.

Questions and Answers

Will you make a My Little Pony Transformer?
No plan to make one, but they love them both and think it could make a cool mashup.

Will you be making the rest of the Dinbots in Generations?
It has been discussed, but no plans just yet.

Anymore plans to do more combiners?
No plans for any news ones at this time?

Any plans for more Ironhide toys?
They will use them when it is possible.

How do you chose extra accessories over show elements?
They add more stuff to the toys to make the more awesome than the other toys they offer.

Will we see a Hercules or Green Giant as MP toys?
They work with Takara on the new designs for those kinds of toys. But no plans right now.

Any plans for Japanese MP toys?
They have to redo the figures in English... they look at all of them and try to bring them to the USA.

Will you reissue Sixshot or Highbrow or Headmasters coming back?
They look at all the characters and think about how to bring them back. Sometimes they re-imagine them as new versions.

It's a good day for artistic endeavors by Transformers fans! Tonight we have a batch of photos to bring you from Alvaro Valdivieso Paredes, who's gone to Facebook posting his custom built Autobot starship Ark as seen in the G1 cartoon. Though this one might take some cues from the mild redesign it had for its appearance in Beast Wars rather than being strictly original-cartoon-derived. Though no distinct scale is given, seeing the real estate it occupies on tabletops helps give a sense of its bulk. While it may not be the biggest ever, it's no less impressive, and you can keep reading to see it in full!
It's certainly not a new thing - Transformers fans wanting to represent a favorite character can and do show remarkable talent in recreating robots in costume form. And so it was with Anthony Darkenstein (I so hope that's his real last name) who created a fantastic costume of G1 Galvatron to wear around the Calgary Expo that took place this weekend. This skillful effort was rewarded as he managed to turn heads not just at the show, but all over the internet as photos of him made their way around social media. We've collected a few of them, so keep reading to have a look for yourself!
30 years ago, you may have had a G1 Grimlock under your Christmas tree. But this July, Hallmark is offering the next-best thing: a G1 Grimlock in Dino Mode to hang on your Christmas tree! He'll run you $16 for a fairly compact, non-transforming Dinobot. Keep reading for more details!
An enterprising fan in China has apparently decided to take it upon himself to add a Metroplex of appropriate scale to help display his collection. We don't know the name of the builder (but if you do please let us know!) but these photos show some impressive building work, starting with a metal frame. One image even suggests it's designed to lay down for the battlestation/ship mode, though that's not depicted in the finished image. Despite being taller than a human, it seems this is still not quite big enough, being shown with Smallest Transformers. But it's still super impressive building! Keep reading to see the pictures!
The Hollywood Reporter has posted a story on the Hasbro Cinematic Universe writer's room, which will be getting underway shortly! It's headed, once again, by Akiva Goldsman (Batman & Robin, Batman Forever, The Da Vinci Code) with such noteworthy authors as Michael Chabon (The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay) and Bryan K. Vaughan (Runaways, Saga). Keep reading for the full roster!
