+ The show is targeted to the 6-11 year old demographic and is a reinterpretation show with a new feel. This is a partnership between CN and Hasbro.
+ They are using Hasbro, CN and Japanese designers for the show
+ The aim to offer a new look for the Transformers after the movie went for the realistic look
+ Everyone at CN and Hasbro are all big Transformers fans. They know and love the brand and are excited to see some new ideas coming along.
+ Derrick Wyatt said his challenge was to design new TFs to be more human-esque and expressive.
+ Matt Youngberg is working with the Japanese to make the production more fluid and more full of life. Japanese studios do that kind of work best so they went with the animation in Japan.
+ Eric Sebenhaler says the challenge was to go from brick styling to a more organic style that CN wanted to see. Eric works with CN guys sharing design ideas.

-- Deluxe Blackarachnia
-- Deluxe Soundwave - Soundwave has a guitar that turns into Laserbeak
+ Steps in toy to vehicle - vehicle to toy is shown.
3:24 P.M. Q&A now Question was asked about finding more toys in the stores:
+ Hasbro: A number of things factor into finding things in stores including:
-- Mostly collector market is lower stock.
-- Things shipped in case packs with many figures causes a backlog due to some figures that are not as popular. In short - the least popular figures being packaged with the highly sought figures keep retailers from order new sets because of over-stock of less popular ones
-- Some regions have more collectors than others so the sales are uneven.
+ ANNOUNCEMENT: Rodimus figure is probably going to sell out here.

Looks like the paint apps are actually getting better on the movie figures. Incinerator is awesome, ever since I saw the opening scene of the movie, I was hoping for an Osprey transformer. I wouldn't mind seeing the addition of some joints in the rotors so they could be used as claws. Evac is a nice paint redeco, and the new head is cool, but a new mold as a Dauphin would have been more appropriate than a pave-low helo, the USCG doesn't use them. The two sector seven bots are nice looking, but I'll pass. The G1 paint prime should make alot of people happy. It looks good, but I am one who likes the flames on the movie design, so it's not a big deal to me. The animated toys look like they're well made, nice paint apps, and a good attention to detail. Too bad it's all based on an anime style. Anime FTMFL! I'm sorry, but Transformers should look mechanical, not like some stupid Poke'Mon looking crapola. The only one that looks really good is Starscream, except for the stupid Anime face. The new classics figures look pretty sweet, too. I'm interested to see how they pull off Octane. I'd still like to see a bigger, better Barricade from the movie, but maybe I'll get that with movie 2.

More Movie molds - fantastic. Incinerator looks great. Probably pick up the CJ redeco as well, just because it's such a good mold.
The Classics/Universe are looking just great. Shame it probably won't have a Blitzwing because of his inclusion in Animated. I guess my Classics Triple-Changer unit will have to wait. I'm hoping that one of those Ultra-class ones is a REAL Ultra Magnus.

Classics - Sold! Hopefully Octane turns out a little (who am I kidding,... a lot )better than Astrotrain, which was the only dud in the Classics line up, for me.
Movie Repaints - Might pick up Cliffjumper and Ultra Magnus, I mean Night Wach Optimus Prime, otherwise pass on the others.
Cartoon Toys - They look too super-deformed for my tastes. Autobots are a complete pass for me.. even the dinobots don't do anything for me. Rachet might be interesting, thoug. The Decepticons, particularly Starscream and Blackarachnia, look interesting, but still leaning toward pass. I'll have to wait and see how the final models turn out.

now to animated..........................im in love. i like serries that stand out amongst my collection. the movie and beast wars do that and this will too. they look glosy, the best paint apps to date. even the movie had some paint flaws. i love the stretched and deformed looks. its nice to have new spins on things. i like optimuses axe. black arachnia looks good, very reminiscent of her tm2 name sake. i love soundwave, the guitar is freaking sweet! love grimlock too, his t-rex mode is awesome. its nice to have dinobots back. starscream is sweet. one of the best in my opinion.

This summer has never been more pleasantly surprising. I was STOKED after seeing the Movie in all its glory on the Fourth of July; now I have actually seen the new wave of toys...and in the end, isn't that what TF is really all about?
Allspark Toys...YES!!! And here's hoping that more Movie themed toys are coming!
Classics Toys...YES!!! Another line that needs to stay alive. No licenses for Alternators? No problem!
Animated...never thought I'd say this but...YES!!! Not only do the toys actually match the look of the characters of the show, but they look terrific! I saw more than heard the clip, but the Animated show may be worth looking out for.
Kudos to Hasbro, TakaraTomy and Cartoon Network for remebering that, at the end of the day, it's the TOYS that really matter.

After all the whining and b****ing about simple things in the movie, like Optimus Prime having flames on him, I don't understand how so few people could have a problem with the worste drawn Transformers cartoon EVER!!! The art is ridiculous! It looks like the crap that they peddal on Nickelodeon that only appeals to 4 year olds! It's $#!+!!! It looks like a poor man's amalgamation of the characters we once loved and throw back art from the Disney cutting floor!!! What's next, Megatron Square Pants??? Thank God for new movie figures and Classics 2.0 cos if it were left up to this cartoon I'd have to put my love for Transformers on hiatus and pray this show ends soon... REAL soon!!! Who knows, maybe we'll be lucky and after one pathetic season the last episode will reveal the entire world to have been based on an image trapped in a snow globe and the stories were all that of the imagination of a little kid with DOWNS SYNDROME!!!!!! When I first saw this animated TF pic. I was like "NO WAY!! WHY HASBRO WHY!!!!" then I wondered... what if its actually pretty cool in motion plus a story even the G1'ers can enjoy?
So. I shall reserve my judgement till I see an entire episode. The toys, are more novelty items to me than actual toys that represent the Japanese created Transformer lines.
I dont know if anyone here collects Spawn. I love Spawn figures and recently saw the animated version of Spawn. Though I wouldnt want it to represent the hard edged muthafuka, I actually liked the animated version of the toys. Just for novelty.
I wouldnt worry about this style being the only dominant style on the market buds.
Of course we'll have more classics and other styles of Transformers figures.
