Seacons Reissues and Universe Three Pack Rumors

Thanks to catz of TFW who has posted some more rumors giving support the the Generation 1 Seacons we reported on previously. According to the post, these are slated to be Hasbro reissue that will be offered this summer. Additionally, catz adds there are also plans for a Target exclusive Universe 3 pack that will include classics molds for Rodimus, Galvatron and Cyclonus. These items are very likely to be on display at BotCon 2010 that will be happening in a couple weeks.

During the long development cycle of Jagex's Transformers universe, a great deal of secondary media was created to support it. One company contracted to do some of that work, Mi, has come forward to reveal their hand in that process, samples of motion comic "episodes" that would have been used to advertise and promote the then-upcoming game. But as the winds shifted on the project, this facet was ultimately shelves. Click through for excerpts of the firm's recollections and a link to the article with the videos.
TFormers forum member TheTfboy wrote a special article for Radio Free Cybertron's Transformersdom blog about his first hand experiences with Jagex's long-developed, short-lived Transformers game. Presented in the format of a timeline of events, TheTfboy explains happenings players observed that may not have been apparent to the rest of us, and shows how long the writing was on the wall for the game's ultimate demise only months after it reached the open beta stage. Jagex's Transformers Universe game has run the course of its short life, but the project had a lot of art designed for it, and the artists that contributed have been posting their work for all to see. We have a range of pieces from Oliver Miles and Sam Beattie including elements that never had a chance to be used in the game. Adam Turnbull has also posted a few video clips to his Vimeo account including function demos and cinematic elements, which we've got embedded below. Click through to check out everything!
Transformers Universe, the online multiplayer game from Jagex is quite dead, and artist Tom Stockwell has posted several pieces of art related to character designs used or intended for use in the short-lived game. The depicted characters generally have a Mentor title denoting non-playable and generally previously established characters like Arcee or Megatron. It's a good look at some reinterpretations within the Prime style, and some completely new takes. Keep reading to see it all!
After being playable for roughly as many months as it was years in development, gamesindustry.biz reports that Jagex has pulled the plug on Transformers Universe, the MMO turned MOBA turned whatever they wound up calling it. The Runescape creator will move on to developing its own IP once again; the move is not entirely unexpected after a recent round of layoffs. Keep reading for more details!
