SDCC 2011 - Shout! Factory Will Not Offer Transformers Japanese DVD Collection with Fortress Maximus Lithograph
Jack Q - Thursday, July 14, 2011

Despite what Comic-Con International states on their San Diego Comic-Con 2011 exclusives page, it looks like Shout! Factory will not be offering 150 copies of the Fortress Maximus lithograph as a bonus with the purchase of the Transformers Japanese DVD Collection, citing that "[i]t's not quite ready."

Back at the end of June, Shout! informed customers about the delay of the Transformers Japanese Collection Box Set and cancelled existing pre-orders, citing the uncertainty of a release date.

Jason Ho asked Shout! Factory on Twitter about the limited number, and Shout! responded a short time after saying that the set will not be available for purchase at the convention.
    @ShoutFactory
@jasonhohoho No, we won't have the Japanese Collection. It's not quite ready...
The San Diego Comic-Con website lists that the set will be limited to 150 and will include the 12 x 14 exclusive lithograph that was revealed back in May.

This information is most likely outdated due to Shout!'s last-minute delay of the set.

Thanks, Jason!

You can still visit Shout! Factory's at booth #4248.

Here is the information posted on SDCC's website:
Title: Transformers Japanese Collection bundled with Lithograph
    Maker: Shout! Factory
    Booth: #4248
    Price: 80.00
    Production Run: 150

weird. didn't the release day get postponed and the original pre order w/ this litho get cancelled? thats kind of a dick move to take the litho's that were for the pre orderers and give them away at SDCC with box sets. i would be pissed if my order was cancelled and this happened.

Thanks to primalxconvoy, we've got an in-depth look at some of the Infobar phone Transformers from the au x Transformers project. These were the subject of a crowdfunding campaign in Japan, from which you would get a set of three figures decoed as Optimus Prime, Megatron, and Bumblebee. A movie-inspired Optimus Prime is being released to direct retail. We have photos documenting the unboxing, as well as showing the individual figures, with size comparisons. Plus images of the instructions (in Japanese) and some details about the toys. Keep reading to see the whole works!

Amazon Japan has posted preorder listings for a Blu-Ray collection of Fight! Super Robot Lifeform Transformers and Transformers 2010 - the Japanese versions of G1 Seasons 1-2 and 3, respectively. It's priced at 19,440 Yen (about $175 by the current exchange rate), is due for release on December 6th, and is region-free... but not HD-quality. Keep reading for details.
It's been a while since the first information hit about the collaboration project between mobile phone provider au and TakaraTomy to make transforming toys based on their Infobar handset. The first of these to be generally available is now up for preorder on TakaraTomy Mall. The Optimus Prime "ANNIN Version" is based on the white variation of the Infobar phone, and the robot elements are inspired by the movie series Optimus Prime. This product is expected for release in December, and is priced at 5400 Yen. No word on the availability of the red Optimus or the other characters shown previously. Click through for stock photos and product link!
Following our previous posts. We have a report on the Takara Tomy booth and all the Transformers products that were on display this year, thanks to Autobase Aichi. In addition to many images showing just about every angle of the amazing Transformers display. We have a show report that has been google translated from Japanese to English for those who want to pick up some of the extra details on the show.
