Soundwave Unveiled as 1st Nominee for Transformers Hall of Fame!
MISP Steve - Monday, May 03, 2010

Hasbro has unveiled the first out of five nominees that are in the running for the Transformers Hall of Fame as Soundwave! Coincidentally, the character was also the frontrunner as an inductee as voted by community on the forums, Facebook, and Twitter. Beginning Monday, May 10th, fans will be able to vote for which candidate out of the five choices that they believe should be inducted as the fifth member of the first class to join the Transformers Hall of Fame. Hasbro will unveil the rest of the candidates this week..

Fan's Choice finalists for TRANSFORMERS HALL OF FAME – Nominee #1

TRANSFORMERS fans around the world were asked, who should be inducted into TRANSFORMERS Hall of Fame. Voting will start on Monday, May 10th with 5 candidates nominated by Fans to choose from.

Fan’s choice nominee #1 is: SOUNDWAVE

“SOUNDWAVE superior. Other DECEPTICONS inferior.”

SOUNDWAVE’s origins are a mystery to all including MEGATRON. His distinct ability to symbiotically partner with MINI-CONS (aka Deployers) grants him an ability to go where others can’t and get what others want. SOUNDWAVE has had many partners throughout his career with the DECEPTICONS, but his favorites remain LASERBEAK and RAVAGE. Having deleted his emotional programs to allow the easier and faster processing of information, SOUNDWAVE has become a calculating, focused, and emotionless warrior. This has allowed him to climb the ranks of the DECEPTICONS. Unquestionably loyal to MEGATRON, who looks to SOUNDWAVE to be his eyes and ears even among the DECEPTICONS. SOUNDWAVE’s other abilities include absorbing sounds and reflecting them back towards an opponent as a sonic blast attack. He has few weaknesses, but an aggressive sonic assault – as by multiple, coordinated sonic booms – can overload his processing systems and make him susceptible to attack.

Yes, I'm from the Dreamwave Productions era. What of it!?

Soundwave didnt have to have ambition to change things. He full-heartedly believed in the future Megatron wished to implement. Soundwave is ultimately loyal to Megatron in this, but if he truly thought it would doom the entire TF race, then logic dictates he reconsider. He doesnt have to have big ex... read more

I hear that. Things can get a little heated in hear at times. More so when dealing with peoples favorites. Megatron himself acknowledged Starscreams' contributions to the Decepticon cause and that's good enough for me. The fact that I hate both Megatron and Starscream as much as I do speaks... read more

I got to say, I apologize to all if my last post came off as, belligerent. I understand the love of soundwave, he is cool as hell. I guess it depends what side of the fence you are on in that situation. Soundwave was the most loyal decepticon. I just can't help but think what did his loyalty ge... read more

That was a little harsh but I agree with the sentiment. I didn't join up to listen to people whine. Ultra Magnus is cool for a cheap Prime knock off but he didn't get the votes. Get over it. Try being a good sport.

It's pointless, incoherent rants like this that cheapen the entire TFormers experience. Congratulations starscream4life69 (I won't dignify you with a Mr.) on making a fool of yourself and bringing shame and dishonor to your friends and family. I'll be embarassed for you since I'm su... read more

good Soundwave deserves it, we barely saw him in RoTF

I'm not sure if I'm where you are there, but I agree Starscream was so pivotal to the original series. When it comes to the Hall i agree that Ultra Magnus got passed over.

Well I'm just going to say that without Starscream it would be hmmmmmmmmmm. GoBots and and that point who cares. Yeah yeah soundwave is great but was everyone freaking high? I mean Hot Rod, how does he pass up Ultra Magnus? That I can't figure out. Back to your Starscream comment Mr. Jason ... read more

Once again, Twitter user @miiakira2017 has posted an image of their Transformers-related design work. Today, it's a classic car- the specific make, if any, eludes RAC - that would have turned into a laser pistol-wielding cowboy. Though there's a slight resemblance to 2010's Hunt for the Decepticons Scout-class Hubcap, the replies peg this as a Diaclone-era design, so well before that figure was designed and likely a coincidence.
