IDW artist Alex Milne has posted a preview for the Transformers Spotlight: Megatron comic book cover to his deviantART account. Get a look at the his covers artwork for the retailer incentive cover that what will be offered exclusively by Staduim Comics in Ontario, Canada. Get a look at the cover art by Alex with some of his insights on the artwork he created as well as a look at the find comic book cover along with the event details and pre-order information.
well this was a special cover i got the chance to work on. The owner of the comic shop i go to asked me if i was interested in doing a cover for and store exclusive book. this was something that we had talked about many times in the past but there hadn't been a transformers one to do....until now ;p
the owner pitched the idea to me about doing a cover, but was unsure about doing it since he wasn't aware about where the books fit into the main stories. i asked what books he was offered a cover for. he mentioned a G.I.Joe one, then a tf comic about megatron. i was like ok.....then i was like, wait, what, megatron? do you mean spotlight megatron? then i was like OMG i want to do that :D
so after a discussion that day, i came up with some roughs. the owner and i went over them, and then i whipped up the cover. it was a blast to do. i love drawing this design of megatron. i know its not the most loved design, but i do enjoy drawing it. i added the store logo in the bottom cover plus a couple extra decepticons that i knew the owner liked :) it was a joy to work on
so this will be a store exclusive comic. i will have a few copies that people will be able to get from me at the various conventions i will be at, but other then from me, stadiums comics will be the only place you'll be able to get this cover of the book
here is a like to there store [link]
here a link to there facebook for the in store signing i will be doing [link]

the fabulous colors were provided by the ever so talented Josh Perez. i think he out did himself on this cover. it really turned out well
it was a joy to work with him on this project. i always wished when i was working on the ongoing comics that i would have gotten to do an issue or 2 with him.
i love all the textures he has going on in the image.

well , back to work for me
enjoy :)

Brave Robotics, a company formed by roboticist Kenji Ishida, has partnered with Tomy and Asratec Corp. to create Project J-deite (Pronounced "Jadeite" like the stone and/or the Sailor Moon villain). The goal is to create a real, transforming car robot by the year 2020 - and in service of that goal they have released a video of their first prototype, the 1/4 scale robot named, appropriately enough, Quarter. While Ishida's inspiration was said to be the Transformers-inspired Brave Series, there's little denying Quarter looks a lot like Prowl and the other Datsun-mold Transformers. Japanese retailer Amiami has posted a pretty substantial collection of images for the upcoming D-Style Convoy model kit. The Optimus Prime with Super Deformed stylings includes Prime's rifle, Axe, and of course the Matrix of Leadership. Via their Twitter, The Loyal Subjects have teased the existence of a vinyl based on G1 Jetfire. While little specific detail is given along with it, a fan's drawing noting itself as a wave 4 prediction was included, which TLS's Twitter representative acknowledged as being on to something. If this is our first look at a piece from wave 4, Jetfire would be in a very early state of production, leaving the odd hole in the side as either a by-product of that, or perhaps a feature yet to be revealed.
