I was in Walgreens the other day looking for HOC figures when I saw they now have these Sypchanger Knockoffs. For a mere $0.99 you get a two-pack of same Spys. There are a few molds to choose from, I grabbed a set of Ironhide clones.

A month?? Good lord, I vaguely recall seeing these things on Ben Yee's site at least a year ago. But to the poster's credit I think the packaging is new and they're apparently sporting new paint jobs (I think).
To this day I don't recall ever coming across these things, but then I never saw knockoff gestalts 'round here until a month or two ago in Walgreen's so I may pick up a pack or two provided they're still $.99

I've had these on my bootleg site for about a year.
They are pretty good for the price.
They have more than is shown of the back package..there are about four or more colors of each mold, some changed by useing stickers to be police or army type..i like the humvee one most.

I saw these two months ago and noted them to Dave van Domelen (whose site, though apparently not commonly known, has a nice and frequently updated sightings page for all things TF including knockoffs and similar toys), who promptly replied to inform me that the same name was being used for knockoffs of Mattel's Hot Wheels Robo Wheels figures. I guess it was my fault for not including pictures...
Anyway, I picked up all I saw at my nearby Save-A-Lot store, which was a pair each of the firetruck, pickup truck, police car, sports car, and three different military vehicles, not counting the same toys with different paint jobs - the same list as is on the back of the package shown.
I never saw these on Ben Yee's site... links, anyone?

I got me a set of Protectabot, and Constructacon knock-offs a few weeks ago from Walgreens. They were buy 2 get one free, and were like $6.00 each. The Protectabots are kinda clunky and cheap, but the Constructacons are fairly decent.

I've got those two sets as well. I found them at a swap-meet in my hometown. I showed the Devestator set to a slightly older friend of mine and he says they look exactly as he remembers them. I must admit, the molds they used were very detailed and were high quality, even for bootlegs! Makes me think someone stole them from the official production factory. The Protectabots do, as you say, look kind of klunky, especialy the motorcycle. At least they come with the large head, hands, feet, and weapons. Devestator even had the small weapons for the individual bots. They came in an open-face box with a large plastic bubble covering all, and included official TF pictures of the bot on the box. If anyone else has seen these drop a line on this board!
