While many have been looking for what TakaraTomy might do with a use of the retooled parts coming soon in Combiner Wars Liokaiser, it seems we have at least one more stop to make first. TakaraTomy Mall has a new graphic up advertising a new preorder opening for an exclusive Unite Warriors set, with the familiar silhouette of Bruticus. Though one can readily guess anyway, the filename for the graphic confirms the next UW-EX release to be Baldigus - otherwise known as Ruination! The Car Robots/Robots In Disguise combiner has no actual photos yet, but as orders open October 25, we haven't long to wait to actually see it!
The official TakaraTomy Transformers PR account has posted a new image of Legends Super Ginrai posing with his colleagues, LG31 Fortress (of Fortress Maximus fame), and MP-24 Star Saber! Interesting to see how many of the G1-Japan Supreme Commanders we've gotten in the last couple of years - all we need is a new Dai Atlas for the complete set! Keep reading to see the image.
E-Hobby has posted official photos of Legends Series Leo Prime! As with the Transformers Prime version of the character, the name of this figure is indeed Leo Prime (レオプライム, or "ReoPuraimu") as opposed to LioConvoy. Expected in Late February 2017, the SRP of the figure is given as 5,000 Yen. Keep reading to see the photos!
What we rather suspect to still be designer Hisashi Yuki has tweeted a new upcoming toy photo from the official Transformers publicity account on Twitter. Legends Chromedome has a new face sculpt to look like the The Headmasters interpretation, along with some deco tweaks versus the Hasbro release. And of course a color-coordinated mini-vehicle - Nightbeat's drilltank jet, in this case. And it seems even TakaraTomy can't defy the laws of physics plastics, as the vehicle mode is still a bit blemished by the unpaintable nylon chunk in the side panel. Click through and check it out!
While Hisashi Yuki is no longer posting photos of upcoming releases to his own Twitter account, we're pretty sure he's still snapping away. Recent tweets to TakaraTomy's @TF_pr account certainly look like Yuki-san's work. For instance, a series of photos including components of Unite Warriors Megatronia, all of which looks maddeningly better with each new image, and LG Soundwave which offers something a little more cartoon-oriented to the toy than the Hasbro edition. We'll keep watching for more developments on the Twitter accounts, and meanwhile you should keep reading to see these photos!
