By Jack on Friday, December 07, 2012

Thanks to TFYUKI who have posted a handful of new images showing us the Takara Tomy Cap Bots new Transforming Hats action figures. The images show the figures in and out of the package, in robot and alternate cap mode as well as a placement on the Fortess Maximus Cerebros' head that shows the scale of these figures are a bit smaller than we may have assumed. Check out the images below of Takara Tomy Cap Bots New Transformers Hats.

Don't laugh....I bet that was on the drawing board when these were designed. This fits right in with the shoe transformers that were out a few years ago.

Oh Japan. What's next? Transformer pants? I bet there's a bunch of idiots out there, who wouldn't be caught dead with a normal Transformer toy, that would buy these Hatformers.

More Generation 1 Japan News
While we wait patiently for New York Toy Fair 2016, Japan gets its own event a week earlier: Wonder Festival 2016 Winter! A more fan-oriented event, manufacturers will often issue single-day licenses for small-run third-party toys and model kits based on their properties. In this case: Metalhawk, from Masterforce! The Metalhawk Renewal resin kit is transformable and highly poseable, and if you're in Japan on February 7th you can pick it up for 10000 Yen, or roughly $82. Keep reading for photos!
Takara's been going pretty heavy on the promo campaigns lately, huh? The latest, beginning January 30th, is for a special QTransformers translucent-plastic Starscream figure! The conditions for getting the figure are not immediately (ahem) clear, but it is limited to 3,000 pieces. Keep reading for a photo and a link to the original promotion page!
DLE Channel has posted a QTransformers video to let us, or at least our Japanese fan counterparts, know about an upcoming event! Once again starring QTransformers Arcee, the event will also feature the debut of her "Character Song" as well as more information on Beast Wars' 20th Anniversary! Keep reading to see the video!
