Takara Tomy will release the Transformers Generation 1 Sixshot in August, Kapow Toys has confirmed. The rumor first crept up in February of this year and was never heard of again until today.

Posting on their Facebook page, Kapow Toys reports that the figure will be an Asia market exclusive and will not be part of Encore, the line Takara typically re-issues Generation 1 figures.

The premium packaging is rumored to have leather and chrome parts.

Based on the wholesale price, Kapow Toys says it will be "expensive."
