TCC Magazine MTMTE Profile Sneak Peak! - Hero Optimus Prime in the Multiverse

By Jack on Friday, January 11, 2013

Find out more about "Hero" Optimus Prime and his adventures in the multiverse. The Transformers Club have announced the "More Than Meets the Eye" profile and the new upcoming Beast Wars story, available exclusively through the Transformers Collectors' Club Magazine! Read about the TCC Magazine MTMTE Profile Sneak Peak! - Hero Optimus Prime below.
Optimus Prime! In his home universe, "Hero" Optimus Prime was the sworn protector of Earth and its super energy source, forestonite. Along with fellow Autobots Electro and Volt, and the human boy Junpei, the Autobot Leader was able to repel Megatron and the Decepticons' attack. Although Megatron promised he would return to conquer not just the Earth but the entirety of the Milky Way galaxy, Prime stood vigilant, ready to thwart him at every turn!

Following the theft of the Rarefied Energon from the Classics Universe, chaos spread and soon found its way across the multiverse, threatening existence everywhere. Optimus Prime was selected by certain members of TransTech to leave his universe and travel to Axiom Nexus to be inducted into the newly formed group known as The Convoy - a collective of high-ranking Autobots from across the multiverse.

Doesn't have too. It's based on an unreleased repaint of the Hero OP toy. At most, it could be substituted if one doesn't have a Hero OP. At most and substituted implying some bit of imagination used being the keyword here.

That new version is blue, based on an unreleased recolor of this mold. Doesn't look anything like this version.

At most, you could substitute the Combat Hero version in this years gift set if you don't have the toy. Though, would be rad to see it in action.

No. This character appears in his normal G2 Hero body in the club comic. The Bio is a reference to an obscure G2 manga he was in.

I wouldn't mind a new toy of him, though my old one is fine as is.

More Collectors Club News
The Transformers Collector's Club has posted the first part of a new prose story by Andrew Hall! Featuring the Shattered Glass Minibots and sporting illustrations by Hayato Sakamoto, "Spatiotemporal Challengers Part 1: Sunrise" is available at the Club's website in a bilingual English/Japanese PDF file. Keep reading to see the cover illustration and get a link to the download page!
They must have heard us talking about them, as The Club has just followed up their reveal of Thunder Mayhem with a decent look at Impactor, the Rook retool that joins the fourth subscription set. This is also set to come with Generations Arcee's assortment of weapons, and is demonstrated here using one of the swords in place of Impactor's traditional harpoon attachment. We were able to enlarge the image just enough to get a decent view of the details of the new head sculpt, so you'll find that image along with the mirrored original below.
The Collectors Club Twitter account has just released a first image showing the combined form of the Mayhem Attack Squad that make up TFSS 4. Thunder Mayhem features a new combiner head sculpt based distinctly on Thunderwing's appearance in the Marvel comics, and is armed with the giant swords from Transformers Go! Optimus Exprime. This photo also offers a first glimpse at the production sample for Impactor, though that toy's new head sculpt is not particularly visible. Click through to have a look.
Via Twitter, the Collectors Club has posted new photos of their near-final production samples of the Mayhem Attack Squad figures from the 4th TFSS group. The figures are now seen in their robot modes, and in Bludgeon's case, includes a close up of the newly sculpted head. We also learn that the included Matrix accessory is being called the Matrix of Malice, and will come with Windsweeper. Presumably we'll finally be getting to see the combined mode sometime soon as well. Meanwhile, click through and have a look at the figures.
Over on Facebook, the Transformers Collectors Club has shared a photo showing a production sample group from the fourth Figure Subscription Service. Seen here in vehicle mode are the Mayhem Attack Squad in what is probably at least close to final decos. Of course Impactor is not pictured with this group, and there is the secret "bonus" figure which will go unseen until the end of the shipping cycle for this set. With production samples now, it looks like these toys could start shipping earlier than in past years. Keep reading to see the mirrored photo.
