TCC Magazine MTMTE Profile Sneak Peak! - Hero Optimus Prime in the Multiverse
Jack - Friday, January 11, 2013

Find out more about "Hero" Optimus Prime and his adventures in the multiverse. The Transformers Club have announced the "More Than Meets the Eye" profile and the new upcoming Beast Wars story, available exclusively through the Transformers Collectors' Club Magazine! Read about the TCC Magazine MTMTE Profile Sneak Peak! - Hero Optimus Prime below.
Optimus Prime! In his home universe, "Hero" Optimus Prime was the sworn protector of Earth and its super energy source, forestonite. Along with fellow Autobots Electro and Volt, and the human boy Junpei, the Autobot Leader was able to repel Megatron and the Decepticons' attack. Although Megatron promised he would return to conquer not just the Earth but the entirety of the Milky Way galaxy, Prime stood vigilant, ready to thwart him at every turn!

Following the theft of the Rarefied Energon from the Classics Universe, chaos spread and soon found its way across the multiverse, threatening existence everywhere. Optimus Prime was selected by certain members of TransTech to leave his universe and travel to Axiom Nexus to be inducted into the newly formed group known as The Convoy - a collective of high-ranking Autobots from across the multiverse.

Doesn't have too. It's based on an unreleased repaint of the Hero OP toy. At most, it could be substituted if one doesn't have a Hero OP. At most and substituted implying some bit of imagination used being the keyword here.

That new version is blue, based on an unreleased recolor of this mold. Doesn't look anything like this version.

At most, you could substitute the Combat Hero version in this years gift set if you don't have the toy. Though, would be rad to see it in action.

No. This character appears in his normal G2 Hero body in the club comic. The Bio is a reference to an obscure G2 manga he was in.

I wouldn't mind a new toy of him, though my old one is fine as is.

Slated for 2017 and with no details yet given, it's far too early to know what shape Hasbro's new Transformers Fan Club will take. But even if we don't know what it will be, we probably all have thoughts on what it should be. RAC definitely does - and he feels the time is ripe for a change. Keep reading for his thoughts on the issue, this time written in the first person!
Brian from Radio Free Cybertron has let us know there's another big announcement today: there's a new Transformers Fan Club coming in 2017! Details are light at the moment - but in the meantime Hasbro has also announced a new Transformers Newsletter which will keep you posted on the Fan Club developments - and, if you sign up for it, will also provide you with a 20% Off Hasbro Toy Shop coupon code! Keep reading for a link to the signup page!
Via Facebook, The Collector's Club has shared a photo of a packaging sample of their Ninja Force GI Joe/Transformers crossover exclusive set. Making a point to demonstrate the collector-friendly nature of the packaging, it's explained how a plastic sleeve easily slides off or on the inner tray of the box, allowing the included figures to easily be taken out or replaced as you choose. The inner flap also contains the background of Megatron's brief affiliation with Cobra, and establishes the context of Ratbat, and the Autobots Black Cat and Toaster in the set. We've mirrored the photo along with the previous packaging mockup for your convenience - keep reading!
Apparently there was a bit of a goof at the Collector's Club Facebook page today, as the upcoming Transformers/GI Joe crossover exclusives were advertised as available for purchase. This was in error and the post removed, but not before someone managed to get a screencap of the attached images. Here we can see the individual card mockups for Only Human Arcee and Rodimus, plus the box that the Ninja Force crossover pack will come in. Sounds like these may be close to going up for sale now. Keep reading to check out the preview!
Thanks once again to John DeLuna, we also have pictures of the seventh "bonus" figure that ships alongside Impactor. While the identity of the figure was revealed unofficially a while back thanks to an image from an overseas auction, we are in this one case avoiding making direct mention of the character in case you managed not to be spoiled then and truly want a surprise with your final shipment. Beyond this point is a nice gallery of photos revealing the toy, so beware!
