The face isn't painted; it's hard to see the detail. If you look at a larger image you can see how show-accurate the head is. (i.e. "a lot") |

They're the back of his robot feet and sort of show accurate as I recall (possible they fold down somewhat more into the chest, but Takara's proto photos usually don't have transformation errors ). |

When first seeing Dinobot, I thought they were going for a crossbow type of weapon, as opposed to the spinning tail blades...at least that's how I read it.
