TF Alternity's SynchroTech

By News_Staff on Tuesday, August 26, 2008 @ 08:19:10 AM

Here's a small update for TakaraTomy's upcoming Transformers Alternity line. The line will have a synchronized auto-transformation gimmick which will be called "SynchroTech".

It gives us plenty of time to see if we really want it or not. Im looking at getting the Seacons as of now though. The "gimmick" does sound/look pretty cool, but looks can be decieving.

There are no signs at the moment as to whether this will be full fledged line like Binaltech. IMO it looks more like a one off type line like Sports Label or a very limited line like Hybrid Style and Music Label. We'll just have to wait and see.

So far we know about two color variations of one toy. Is there really any serious evidence that they intend to develop a full line like this?

I like all the automorphs I have (most movie, classic toys; no animated). The automorphs mostly transform one other small thing and there's a TON left to transform. It's not like Beast Wars Razorback (who I love nonetheless) that completely transforms with the flick of a switch.

Ive only liked a few automorph gimmicks. ironhides wasn't too bad, nor was movie optimus. then you have animated starscream and lugnut who shouldn't have had automorph at all. lugnut especially since his front end never stays closed in vehicle mode.

You got it right. I'm pretty sure it says Jan 2009 as the release date. Shoot, and I was hoping to get this sucker before next year.

i kind of understand what you're saying.. but what if sunstreakers automorph broke or wasn't working properly.. then sunstreaker wouldn't have a head. i

to me I either love an automorph gimmick or hate it, an example of love would be universe sunstreaker, i love the way when you twist the windscreen the head pops out, it is useful as it does not compromise the articulation or look of the figure to do it. At the other endof the scale we have Movie Bl... read more

I love the automorph feature. It makes the Transformer seem more "real".
