TF3 Filming in Gary Indiana - Dodge Decepticon?

By Primus on Thursday, April 01, 2010

The reports by way of Slashfilm and TFLAMB with news about the Production Weekly is reporting via a Tweet that Tranformers 3 is said to be revving up and headed for the Majestic Star Casino in Gary, Indiana on April 12th for a "pre-vis scene." I assume that means, pre-visual? There's also some very bogus looking images posted by The Realm Toys of a late model Dodge Charger with a Decepticon emblem on an unidentified back-lot.

Supposedly these came from a mole on the set who snapped the images with his cell-cam:
"I was doing my normal rounds on the lot and came across the Transformers 3 work. All the stuff that you guys had reported SuperHeroHype had was there and more! The main Transformers cars are all there including 2 that I didn’t see in the previous movies. One is a autobot that I couldn’t get close enough to take a picture of because it was being guarded so that it would not be scratched/ damaged. It was a red Ferrari. The other (which wasn’t being guarded as heavily) is a decepticon. It was a dark navy Dodge Charger. I managed to snap a couple of pics with my cell. Sorry for the poor quality."
Note there is no mention of a the Red Ferrari Bay revealed in a previous news report. Upon further review, the images appear to show a 2010 Dodge Charger when it is most likely Bay would be working with something more modern, if not a concept. However, vehicle-based Decepticons have mostly been modern vehicles (Saleen Mustang for Barricade and Audi R8 for Sideways). Even if it as a 2010, it would very likely be more customized than the car that appears in the images.

April fools, or coincidence?

Thanks to Hobbybase who have posted new in-hand images of the TakaraTomy Transformers 4 Lost Age LA-13 Battle Attack Nemesis Prime figure. Get a look at the recolor of the Power Attackers Optimus Prime figure mold in the robot and vehicle modes for the full details on this figure.
Licensed merchandise has always been a rough territory, and Age of Extinction proves no different. A character watch obtained by Transformers Colombia member Edward Jonathan Elizalde proves this quite well, by presenting what would very much like to be the face of Lockdown, but more comes off as a generic robotic skull face with a buzzcut. However, if the novelty of having something vaguely like a Quintesson Death face on your watch is appealing, keep an eye out, as they'll probably find their way to Ebay for years to come! Click to see the full size photo.
Autobase Aichi has posted a set of catalog images from the recent Lost Age toy releases, and one of them is a fresh look at Advanced Series Ultimate Optimus Prime. AD-31 is an extensively painted and extensively remolded version of TF4 Generations Leader Optimus Prime, making it the most movie-accurate transforming toy of everyone's favorite victim of Space PTSD. Toys R' Us have joined the Transformers: Age of Extinction DVD bandwagon with a new offering of exclusive Kre-O Optimus Prime and Glavtron figures that will inclused in a special edition boxed set. The set is listed for $19.99 USD to be released on September 30th 2014. Check out the image of the DVD box with figures below for a preview now.
Besides the Cloud update, TakaraTomyMall also posted a variety of pictures of new Lost Age series figures, including Power Attackers Grimlock, Slug, Snarl, and Galvatron. Also pictured is a four-pack of one-step Transformers with Optimus Prime, Galvatron, Slug, and Helicopter Drift. Keep reading to see the images!
