TFC Toys Project Uranus Reveal New Image of First Team Figure
Jack Q - Thursday, May 17, 2012

Following on Devastator, it is safe to say that it's only a matter of time before all the great Transformers gestalts will get the 3P make-over. TFC Toys moves ahead to other combiners with a new teaser image just posted for their upcoming homage. The name, Project Uranus, is not very descriptive, but it does not take but a second to see this is their homage to the Generation 1 Superion. The image of the silhouetted figures revealed at Botcon has been updated with a blurry image of what we think is their version of Fireflight.

For scale referrence imagine MP Starscream standing on FP Bruticus shoulders... Yup everyone wants that scale of Transformers.... Also, Devastator and other combiners were shown as being the same height as Omega Supreme in comics and animation...

They arent meant to fit in with those Energon Supremes. Theyre meant to fit in with the CHUUD lines. But who knows maybe if your lucky they'll make super supreme+++ Omega and Metroplex. I wouldn't be opposed to that, just the price it would cost

Actually no it doesn't, my shelves are set up by toy line, My Cybertron shelf is perfect and only missing two Transformers Buzzsaw and Swerve. Yet there is nothing wrong with the display with Primus and Metroplex in the back. My Supreme Starscream is on the shelf below them and works where he i... read more

The main problem with this. is the sheer fact is their are no new age 2002 thru 2012 current/future TF city/base bots toys that are above the Supreme toy size scale. to have 3rd party combiners bigger or same scale as supreme sized city/base bots like energon omega supreme & cybertron metroplex... read more

Considering that most of the G1 Combiners were smaller then PM Optimus Prime, the Deluxe scout ration is insufficient. As is the scale used by the Energon combiners also insufficent when most Ultra are taller then they are. A Voyager with 4 deluxe or even better an Ultra with 4 Voyagers would work... read more

The energon 5-in-1 combiners did the 1980's scramble city homage toys the best proper scale. their is nothing wrong with wanting this energon combiners scale repeated. deluxe for the core leaders is a decent size & not small by any means. the limbs bots in G-1 were always small,So basic siz... read more

You asking for proper size? Then you should be asking for bigger versions of the figures instead of the same G1 sinzes that were anything But properly sized. These newer homages and upgrades from both Hasbro, Takara, and the 3RD Party companies are doing what we all want and to ask for 3 inch tall ... read more

From Weibo user bandaimaru, we've got a few shots of a prototype of Toyworld's unofficial Cosmos figure. What we expect to be Masterpiece scale (which in Autobot Mini-Vehicle terms means probably Deluxe-ish) is seen in full color, making the project at its current stage look quite good, for those to whom the design and proportions of G1 Cosmos hold a special place. The figure doesn't seem to have its own codename yet, and likewise it's maybe a bit too early for release info. But you can sure enjoy looking for now! Check it all out in the gallery below.
Maketoys has posted a new update on Facebook for the next in their RE:Master line of Masterpiece scale figures. We've got new color images of Contact Shot, their take on Targetmaster Pointblank. Various angles and poses of the robot are shown, plus an overview of the vehicle mode including opening canopy with driver compartment. And we get to see a closeup of the Targetmaster figure, plus alternate face and helmet options for the figure. We've got all of it mirrored, so click through to have a look!
Just announced are the MM-X Toro & MM-XI Coprimozzo Set featuring Unofficial Hubcap and Cliffjumper figures from from XTransbots. Toro and Coprimozzo are a pair of transforming street cars that are fashioned on a different, more sporty model, than the old VW Bug. Each of these figures stand about 4.50 inches tall in robot mode and feature die-cast parts and real rubber tires. Read on for more details below.
This evening on Facebook, Fanstoys has shared several images of a color testshot of their upcoming figure Phoenix. This figure is based on Skyfire and his almost entirely made up cartoon model which has not gotten much merchandise attention over the years. Phoenix is scaled for a Masterpiece shelf, leaving it towering over ...well, just about everything, going by the included height comparison shot! While release is projected in Spring of 2017, perhaps a color testshot being ready now could indicate an slightly earlier delivery? Time will tell, but for now click through to see the photos!
The Shanghai SGC event is happening this weekend, and we have an interesting look inside the MMC display. Specifically a few photos have been posted from their Reformatted series and while most of it is previously seen items like their unofficial Tarn, Roadbuster, or recently revealed IDW-inspired Megatron, we have one new reveal: A color testshot of MMC's IDW-based Rodimus. A prototype was seen at TFCon this year, but this is the first showing in color, and it looks like Mastermind has nailed this one. Keep reading to see the photos and photographer credit!
