The Ark Compendium #2 5-Page Preview

IDW Publishing's The Ark Compendium #2 is coming next week July 9th and a five page preview from artist Jim Sorenson could not come at a better time. The previews include Scorponok (Headmasters series), Minerva (Masterforce), Star Saber (Victory), The Nine Great Demon Generals, 1 of 3 (Zone), and Super and Ultra Megatron (Battlestars).

The Ark Compendium collects over 500 of the animation models from the classic TV show that have been painstakingly restored to their original glory.

That Super Megs looks sweet! Reminds me a little of Shockwave. Would love to have a toy of that!

Wow...I always realized :animated Prime contained some Star Convoy design elements, but I didn't realize :animated Megs borrowed so heavily from SC's Megatron counterpart.

Don't forget in higher resolution, Primal Convoy. TF Generations may have had a lot more model sheets, but they were smaller since they shoved so many onto one page.

Nice translations. Mind you, if you already have the Japanese "TF Generations" books or the last art book, these English comics are merely the backs of those books with English translation. That can be good or bad depending on how you look at it.
