Transformers The Last Knight Toyline Info Revealed - Waves And Pricepoints
ExVee - Monday, January 09, 2017

Avid list maker and Amazon catalogger Nevermore has received a list reflecting the nature of The Last Knight's toyline including barcode numbers, allowing him to verify the info through placeholder Amazon listings. As it has been in the past, all characters are code named, with the theme of planetary bodies and other space-related phenomena. But we can tease some real information on the line, such as that at least three waves are planned for both Deluxe and Voyager, as well as character reoccurences in the Legion class. You can find more information below!

This information only relfects the "Generations Series" figures, and does not include any information on other styles of toy, like one step changers or other feature-based products.

Deluxe

  • Wave 1
   • Shooting Star
   • Gamma Ray
   • Mars
   • Gas Giant

• Wave 2
  • Nova
  • Comet
  • Earth
  • Hot Gas

• Wave 3
  • Zodiac
  • Gravity
  • Saturn
  • Lightning

Voyager

• Wave 1
  • Jupiter
  • Lunar Eclipse

• Wave 2
  • Pluto
  • Super Nova

• Wave 3
  • Gamma Beam Grey
  • Sun

Legion

• Wave 1
  • Mars
  • Lunar Eclipse
  • Gas Giant
  • Four Moons

• Wave 2
  • Pluto
  • Gravity
  • Nova

One may surmise that similar names represent related products. Deluxe "Nova" and Voyager "Super Nova" could indicate an upgraded form, for instance. Gamma Ray and Gamma Beam Grey may also be such a connection. For now this is about all we can try to extract from this leak. Assuming the toyline launches in May or thereabout, we can easily expect the movie's toyline to be with us for the remainder of the year as its minimum of three product waves plays out. And there may still be more - these were just the ones that could be verified with Amazon pages.

TFW2005 forums member Rookbartley has discovered a new Transformers: The Last Knight toy at their local store: the Optimus Prime Battle Blaster Sword! This roleplay toy has light-up features as well as both sounds and voice clips. It also converts from a sword-shaped gun to a full-on toy sword. Keep reading to see the photos.
Valvoline has just posted a new commerical touting their status as the official synthetic motor oil of Transformers: The Last Knight. In it, a series of people thank the Autobots - surprisingly earnestly and straight-faced for the most part - for the work they've done defending Earth. (Which is a better reception than we expect them to get within the film, honestly.) No mention or showing of Valvotron in the ad, but you can see it after the jump all the same.
The website Box Office Pro has posted its analysis of the impending Transformers: The Last Knight. It's an interesting read, a fairly level-headed look at the internal and external forces that could determine whether TF5 is a success, and how much of one. Our takeaway: ...there's another Planet of the Apes film coming out in July? Why? Anyway, click through for the full rundown.
A Twitter user by the name of @MoritaNisekira has posted an in-package image of the Silver Temenos Sword giveaway from TakaraTomy! This is being given away at Japanese ToysRUs stores as part of a larger promotional campaign for Transformers: The Last Knight which stretches into the fall. Keep reading for the photo!
