The Transformers The Ride has officially opened today at Universal Studios Hollywood today. Yesterday, Universal hosted a Grand Opening Event yesterday, with stars Steven Spielberg, Frank Welker, Peter Cullen and Glenn Morshower (as General Morshower) in attendance.

Universal Studios posted several photos (a sample few are in the gallery) from the event on their Facebook page and Inside the Magic filmed the grand opening ceremony where General Morshower welcomed new recruits.

A welcome message from Michael Bay, the director of the trilogy of Transformers films as well as the ride, was also broadcast during the ceremony.
