Third Party TFCat Sleeping Kitty Optimus Prime Toys Revealed

By Jack on Tuesday, November 06, 2012

Asian culture has some interesting memes that seem to make their way around from one popular culture property to another. Transformers have been infected by a number of these trends such the gashapon / capsule toys, super deformed style figures, and now we have the sleeping kitty meme that has captured Optimus Prime as a cute little feline napping on a pillow. The images posted to Meteor Operations don't include a company name or release information at this time. Enjoy the images till we know more. UPDATE: Seems these toys are from the same third party group TFCat who made the TFCat plush toy that I have added a pic to gallery for.

We are dedicated to being to be the best resource for all your Transformers news and reviews every day. Keep your browser dialed to Tformers.com for updates as they happen.

Site sponsor Robotkingdom has posted a pair of preorders for new figures in the QTransformers line based on the Paper Rabbit Rope series. (That's pronounced "Ro-peh," not "rope.") There's precious little information about the characters out there, but we did find a Japanese language commerical of the QTransformers to be - Rope and Akira-sempai - enjoying delicious Nissin Ramen. Keep reading to see the ad and the photos!
Following up on the new, Masterpiece-styled DiaBattles seen at Tokyo Toy Show, site sponsor Robot Kingdom reports thatTakaraTomy has announced a new line called Diaclone Reboot for winter of this year! It's not currently known if the line will be reissues or new items... but unless it's both, that DiaBattles does make us lean towards the former. Keep reading for the image and announcement!
QTransformers has done pretty well for itself in Japan. Well enough to attract licensed characters to the line, such as this Hello Kitty that turns into a G1 Optimus Prime-style truck. Release (in Japan) is set for July at a price of 1200 Yen. Keep reading to see the official images from Dengeki Hobby!
While not strictly Transformers-related, it's still pretty fascinating: photos are surfacing on Weibo (by way of Twitter) of a Tokyo Toy Show display that appears to show a Masterpiece-style take on the Diaclone figure Diabattles, one of the more sci-fi themed Diaclone figures that was not selected to become a Transformer. Perhaps even more interesting is the inclusion of Masterpiece-styled Diaclone pilots! First photos after the jump!
Autobase Aichi has shared an image of Kabaya's Seacon kits! Previously only the Piranacon/King Poseidon form had been shown, but now we've got a smallish image of the smallish kits for you to check out. Keep reading to see!
