Toy Fair 2008: Animated Battle Begins Earth Prime, Megatron

We just got some awesome official images of the Transformers: Animated Battle Begins Battle Pack.

Retailing at $19.99 and available June 2008, this two-pack includes Optimus Prime and Megatron figures in battle-ready action stances with over-sized weapons. Also included is “The Battle Begins” DVD that previews the new cartoon.

Hobbes' pictures make the 2-pack Prime look a lot better. The only thing that really bothers me is the wonky chest piece. It just looks so out of place. I don't know if it will be enough to make me pass on the 2-pack, though, simply because it's so convenient. Pete, could you elabor... read more

I want Activator Prime and possibly Cybertronian Prime. I want Leader Megs, Voyager pre-earth Megs, Voyager Earth Prime, and Deluxe pre-earth Prime. That is all, no 2 pack guys for me.

It's nice to see the vehicle mode TF'd properly. It's also nice to see that the red on the chest matches up much more with the rest of the red on the figure.

Yeah, I dig him more than the Deluxe Earth mode. Voyager's still my favorite. Although, the side-by-side pics have convinced me I must have the Deluxe Earth Prime's Ax in Voyager Prime's hands...but I don't want to spend $20 or more on an accessory. Oh, Hasbro, you cruel mistres... read more

I like "Orion Pax" better. He may not look like a vehicle you can ride around in but then again, he is a cybertronian vehicle and there aren't any humans on Cybertron.

Yeah, I think the side view in particular really makes it clear. Although that Cybertron Prime is really coming off as the weakest of the three.
