Transformers 2 Mystery Car Revealed?

By Blitz on Sunday, June 22, 2008 @ 12:44:27 PM

Remember that mystery car that was spotted on the set of "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" and we asked you to help identify it?

Well, according to some images over at Jalopnik, the mystery may have been solved.

The person who tipped Jalopnik off at the image of the vehicle, calls it the concept of either a 2010 or 2012 Chevrolet Corvette, which many have speculated before.

Also courtesy of the tipster, there are two images (front and back end) of the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro. The vehicle detracts from the mass-produced version of the Camaro that will be sold next spring, so Jalopnik has speculated that the vehicle could either be a Z28, or even a Saleen-customized package.

The images of the vehicles were snagged while they were undergoing some work at a workshop of Chip Foose, an automotive designer and fabricator.

Possible, although, with Incinerator/Blackout I'm not so sure how it was a "place holder" versus just the production actively deciding to change his name down the road. Heh, of course they could change it to Tracks for much the same reason.

My guess is the 'Vette might be the "Stinger" mentioned in one of the callsheets.

the thing is tracks is interesting so far all the Autobots have been all the same goodie goodie types Tracks is vain and selfish and I think they could make a nice little sub plot with that. side swipe was only ever interesting with SunStreaker to act as a contrast and Silver streak only ever seemed... read more

I think he just means the character tracks isn't interesting enough to be in the movie. I can see the point, but I'm sure they will write him however they want. I think sideswipe will be in the next movie, but I suspect this is silverstreak...

movie BB might as well be called hotrod their the same character stereotype. as for not seeing tracks in that car you must need an eye test. its the closest thing to a G1 tracks since... g1 tracks its just not blue

This car is the closest to the Stingray II (G1 Tracks) as any custom I have seen so far. Though Hot Rod or Blurr are also good candidates.
