Even well before Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen lands in theaters on June 26, 2009, rumors about the sequel's sequel have already surfaced. Ace Showbiz reports that Transformers 3 has been pegged to a June 29, 2011 release date, uncovered in an upcoming release schedule of films for Germany.
It is well known that there is a plan to take the franchise beyond Revenge of the Fallen, as Shia LaBeouf has been signed for three films since the original film and Director Michael Bay has referenced the film before.
DreamWorks, SKG has not confirmed or declined the 2011 release date.
