According to the Cybertronian Enquirer (where I'm pretty sure this info originally came from) these are supposed to represent the original animated movie with the term "classic" being used to keep people from confusing them for the new '07 LA movie.

Sounds pretty sweet to me, just hope the new Grimlock turns out better (and bigger) than the Energon version...

BTW, another rumor is that 20th Ann. Prime is going to be reissued too, but not in the same way as the first one. Theories include a straight import of the Takara version, a gray "dead" version, or a white "Ultra Magnus" version. Should be interesting to see if this pans out.

OK! OK! What are these supposed to be? Classic characters with new molds alas Energon Downshift/Wheeljack?

Hey Peeps,

This is Kaye from the CE. Please cite the Cybertronian Enquirer for the information, which is cut and paste from the article on Saturday.

These figures are not from the movie at all. These are the classic line which will be all new figures based off their G1 namesakes. The only movie figure so far will be a rereleased 20th Anniversary Prime with movie accessories and movie deco. It comes out as a promotion for the 20th anniversary of the original animated movie.

Thanks,
Kaye

They are all pretty much from Transformers the Movie though, apart from Jetfire, unless I missed him.

I meant they weren't related to a movie based line

They better do a good job on Jetfire but I bet it won't be as cool as the original Macross Valkyrie.

They've done so many figures with the name "Jetfire" or in the Jetfire color scheme that it almost has to be either show accurate or at the very least similar enough that you can look at him and say "that's G1 Jetfire". Otherwise, what's the point? Personally I'm hoping for him to be similar to the Dreamwave Jetfire with the flip down mask and snap on body armor, as a "Voyager" figure they could do that.

And thanks for clearing that up, Kaye.

there should be a classic version of...UNICRON!!! that will be cool! more color related to the movie, and some parts should be a tiny bit bigger and remoled to be athentic ,and it should be the armada version but not be too remolded that some of the armada features can`t be activated, and a object shaped like a top of a planet that can go on the back of his planet mode and clip to his feet for a stand...what do you think e-mail me by coments.
