Kinda interesting. Should have brought back the retro 80s packaging with the box flaps and all with the picture of the character on the right hand side.
Added to that the new two bubble approach to displaying the figure inside the box and you would have a clear winning box design IMO.

I have to agree with an earlier poster... in my heart of hearts, I was hoping for totally G1-style packaging... if not the actual boxes, the colour scheme and design with oldschool-looking character portraits.
Ah well... I just throw out the packaging anyway. :)

I actually like the packaging. Since the reissues used the same original G1 type packaging, I welcome a new approach. Especially since this is a new interpretation, let it be new packaging.

I think it looks cool, but G1 style packaging would have been cooler. At least they brought back a version of the classic logo.

The logo is my favorite part, I was getting some tired of the generic logo they've been using, even if this logo is almost as old as the characters it represents. It's nice having a fresh new packaging, but I'm not too crazy about the lack of character art, just photos of the characters, hopefully there's something interesting on the back of the package.

Nice box, love the logo. I would've liked G1-esque style box, but it's all good.
My question is: Why are they more expensive than the Deluxe and Voyager class figs that are out now? Are they going to put rubber tires and more diecast metal on them? One could only hope...

Great...Dildozone in Cybertron Classic packaging.

Ignore the figures in the packaging, openwound. They're just test shots. As far as the price increase, I might have an answer to that. I work in the electrical supply industry, and we've been getting hammered with raw material increases such as copper (for building wire), steel (for conduit pipe) and zinc (for die-cast fittings). Zinc especially is important to home in on here, because most die cast figures are cast from Zinc.
Within the last 2-3mos, Zinc has shot up almost 250% in value due to shortages. A lot of manufacturers have responded by increasing the price of fittings from 35-100%. If the Classic and Titanium lines are utilizing die-cast zinc, then I would fully expect prices higher than what is currently available.
