Transformers Maximum Dinobots #2 5-Page Preview

By News_Staff on Monday, January 05, 2009

Just in from IDW Publishing is a 5-page preview for the Transformers Maximum Dinobots #2 comic that will be released on January 28, 2009. The series we've all be waiting for as Grimlock and the dino boys get their own comic series. The second issues show us this is no 101. There's trouble within the team that catches the attention a certain Decepticon big bot, Scorponok.

Simon Furman (writer)
Nick Roche (artist)
Roche, Marcelo Matere (colors)

The action cranks up to fever pitch, as GRIMLOCK and the other Dynobots-SLAG, SLUDGE, SWOOP and SNARL-tear into each other and, in the process, the small town of Fallon, Nevada. As Skywatch desperately tries to contain the widening disaster zone, so SCORPONOK agitates and inflames, ready at last to unleash his Machination Empire on an unsuspecting world. All courtesy of Simon Furman and fan-favorite Nick Roche! 2 regular covers will be shipped in a 1-to-1 ratio.

The Golden Age? Hardly, that "Golden Age" crashed and burned because the "oh-so-awesome" Pat Lee was taking everyone's paychecks to buy himself stuff! And don't you mean how Jo Ng, Alex Milne, Rob Ruffolo, and Guido Guidi drew those comics, it's been long discov... read more

I know that it is a matter of personal tastes, but I just can't seem to like the IDW art style. Say what you will about how the man runs a business... but Pat Lee drew transformers the way that they should have ben drawn! IMO, those Dreamwave comics were the golden age of TF art.

I only remember seeing Scorponok in like 1 or 2 comics and then, vamoose! So it might be nice to see what happened with that continuity. i mean i guess its all the same continiuty, ya know what i mean though.
