Transformers Revenge Of The Fallen Comes To DVD & Blu-ray On Oct 20 In USThe wait is over! Paramount announced today that they will be releasing Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen on DVD and Blu-ray on October 20, 2009.

The Blu-ray and two-disc DVD packages also will feature augmented reality technology that will allow owners to interact with a holographic image of OPTIMUS PRIME utilizing their webcams and a special website. Fans will be asked to piece together the Matrix of Leadership to bring OPTIMUS PRIME back to life, help repair his armor and calibrate his weapons by actually controlling his aim during target practice.

    Nice! Looks like it will have much better special features this time! Though the documentary about the "four editors" should be interesting, since the movie had some CRAPPY editing!

    The 4K UHD release the first four Transformers films: TRANSFORMERS, TRANSFORMERS: REVENGE OF THE FALLEN, TRANSFORMERS: DARK OF THE MOON and TRANSFORMERS: AGE OF EXTINCTION, which will be released on December 5th (TRANSFORMERS: THE LAST KNIGHT is available now on 4K UHD). All releases come in a 3-disc 4K UHD/Blu-ray Combo Pack with Digital copy.
    A piece on Variety earlier this week reveals that Huahua Media out of China and Paramount Pictures are ending what was supposed to be a multi-year investment deal that would see the Chinese company contribute financing to numerous film productions. If this sounds vaguely familiar, it should. In August, Paramount execs flew to China to smooth things over after a string of movies - most recent at the time being Transformers: The Last Knight - failed to perform to expectations. Paramount says they'll pursue financing partnerships elsewhere - including with Hasbro - but on the whole it's probably still not good news at all. Keep reading for more details!
