it's really really easy to modify the swords so that they are coming out of this arms.. the only problem is, you have to unscrew the forearm for when you want to transform him.. all you have to do is unscrew the forearm, take the swords out, cut off most of the piece that connects the sword to t... read more

that would be really sweet if he had his two swords on his arms while he had that gun on his arm

Hasbro should have made smaller, pop-out swords that are part of the forearms. It would have been more movie accurate and would function better as a gimmick.

I have found a pose I'm perfectly happy with that allows his arms to extend down most of the way and the swords to fold up. So it doesn't bother me so much anymore. But yes, that is probably the biggest design flaw with this guy.

Swords are cool but they dont work well me thinks. I guess if his shoulder plates are positioned out of the way sometimes .. it works on occasion but did they really have to make them permentally attached?

A lot of us think we do see the swords there still. We won't know for certain until some nicer pictures get released of the production toy, but I wouldn't write off the swords yet.

dame that Optimus is awesome but he doesn't have the two swords like the american version does and they already have the supreme Dev

Yeah, I think that's it. Adult collectors in the West don't have as much influence as they'd like to think. Toys are still "for kids" here, while in Japan they'll promote a Mazinger Chogokin with a commercial featuring a Japanese businessman remembering his Mazinger toy ... read more

Or we can wait till they have the face plate flip up (or even better movie akurt side to middle) gimmick

Thanks for the offer. So far I'm pretty happy with how leader Prime's head looks. It's more a case of I might swap that head with Buster Prime's because of the mouth guard. Or I might not. depends how much I do or don't like Prime's mouth when I see it up close (not a bi... read more

In a keynote at MIP Junior 2015, Hasbro's Stephen Davis touched on many topics related to the company's media franchises. In the process of answering questions, he revealed that the recently concluded writers room did not just plan Transformers 5, but that they worked to plot Transformers movies for the next ten years, which he suggests will take the property through an eighth film. He also specifically mentions Michael Bay's involvement once again, to no one's particular surprise. Video of the event has been posted to Youtube, so click through to have a look!
Today Deadline is reporting that TJ Fixman, known perhaps best to this audience For his contributions to the Ratchet & Clank series, has been hired in to Hasbro Studios as a creative consultant. Fixman's role will be to work with the existing media producers to help develop the fiction and media sides of the major brands, including Transformers. It sounds like Hasbro Studios is making a serious effort to up their media game, and only time will tell what influence will be seen from this latest addition.
Thanks to Genmon Photo Vault on Facebook, we have some nice photos of the Platinum G1 Dinobots. These are the Generations Series AOE Dinobots in classic colors and with G1-based robot heads, which for better or worse are probably the nearest we're going to get to true Classics Dinobots anywhere in the foreseeable future. Fortunately on that front, these come off looking quite nice with these decos and their retooling. Click through to check out the photos!
Hold up before you sign that check and buy a used car, because there's a statue of a robot you may want to think about first! Prime 1 Studio has posted an extensive image gallery of their elaborate Museum Masterline Transformers Galvatron statue, and it looks pretty impressive! (As it should for an SRP of $1,899 USD!) The Exclusive edition - limited to 888 pieces where the Standard run is 1,000 - includes Megatron's severed head. Keep reading to see!
In a message posted just a short time ago to michaelbay.com and his own Twitter account, Michael Bay states that as of right now he has not officially joined the production of the next Transformers movie. In the very brief and to-the-point statement, Bay notes that he has taken at least one meeting already and that things are being discussed. However, given Bay's track record, we don't expect to see Transformers 5 with someone else ultimately in the director's chair. Stay tuned here for more updates!
