MISP Steve - Wednesday, December 23, 2009

Thanks to Shout! Factory who's sent out the cover art for the Transformers Generations 1 DVD cover to Season 3 and 4. Looks like more art work by Andrew Griffith. This one's got Rodimus holding up the Matrix to ward off the Decepticon warriors Scourge, Cyclonus and Galvatron as Unicron's head looms in the distance. Pretty spiffy.

  • The Five Faces of Darkness - Part 5
  • The Killing Jar
  • Chaos
  • Dark Awakening
  • Starscreams Ghost
  • Thief in the Night
  • Forever is a Long Time Coming
  • Surprise Party
  • Madmans Paradise
  • Carnage in C-Minor
  • Fight or Flee
  • Webworld
  • Ghost in the Machine
  • The Dweller in the Depths
  • Nightmare Planet
  • The Ultimate Weapon
  • The Quintesson Journal
  • The Big Broadcast of 2006
  • Only Human
  • Grimlocks New Brain
  • Money is Everything
  • Call of the Primitives

  • The Return of Optimus Prime - Part 1
  • The Return of Optimus Prime - Part 2
  • Rebirth - Part 1

Man this is good news for everyone who doesn't already have the series if they knock off the vol1/2 crap. Concerning any show, I just plain hate that!!! I do have the Rhino sets so I haven't bought any of these. The Matrix set looks nice, but is expensive. The individual seasons... read more

A Weibo leak yesterday clued us in to the existence of a second electronic device Transformer from Xiaomi, makers of the tablet Soundwave released at about this time last year. Today we have package images of the Optimus Prime device, revealing it to be not a tablet, but a functioning USB battery! The back of the package states it includes "2 3.6V 6500 mAh, non-replaceable, rechargeable Li-ion batteries", giving it a total capacity of 13,000 mAh. Quite decent, though we expect the price to be out of proportion for its capacity given that it also becomes a robot! Click through to see the new images.
After making collections of all of these pop culture staples, which was brandon’s dream, Han Cholo gained the license from Hasbro to make Officially Licensed Transformers Jewelry. Gearing up for the release of the many exclusives at San Diego Comic con, Han Cholo found it fitting to make their release date of the Transformers jewelry collection to go along with the release of Transformers: The Dark Knight. With the new fans of the franchise excited about the movie Brandon wanted to give something to the old school fans of the 80’s Cartoon and thats just what he did. Basing the collection on Generation 1 toys, the first rollout features Optimus Prime, Megatron and Soundwave in all their glory.
We are just out of the IDW Hasbro Comics panel with a look at the many current title now in print and the lead up to the massive First Strike crossover event that will be the next adventure in the Hasbro Universe. Read on for details on Transformers, GI Joe, Micronaughts, ROM, Mask and more comics coming to us from Hasbro and IDW.
Thanks to the good folks at Han Cholo who sent us a set of their SDCC exclusive Transformers G1 pins. These high-quality designs feature classic renditions of the 1980s most popular Transformers Cartoon characters. Get a look the Wave 1 pin designs for Optimus Prime, Megatron, Bumblebee, Soundwave robot mode and Soundwave tape mode. Each one captures the look of the cartoon well with an extra bit of glitter-like detailing for a nice sparkle effect. See the images and official details after the jump.
This year's Hallmark Transformers Ornament has been sighted in stores! Phil from the great ASM spotted the ornament, based on the appearance of G1 Soundwave's toy self. If you like the sound of having Transformers on your Christmas tree instead of - or in addition to! - having them under it, this ornament will set you back $16. Keep reading to see the image, mirrored here for your convenience!
