According to actor Jeffrey Combs' website, the upcoming Transformers cartoon set to debut in fall 2010 on the Hasbro Inc./Discovery Communications' The Hub will be called Transformers: Prime.

The website states that Mr. Combs will lend his voice to Ratchet and that 26 episodes of the series have been ordered for the first season.

"[I]t is an honor and a privilege to be a part of such a prestigious project," Mr. Combs says via his website.

The statement available on the website also claims that additional information may not be revealed at this time, but it will be available on the site when it is allowed.

It is now interesting to see what this means for Michael Bell, who said back in December that he had auditioned for the role of Ratchet.

Mr. Bell also revealed during that interview that David Sobolov, who played the voice of "Depth Charge" in Beast Wars, is another actor up for audition.
