Famitoy is reporting that there are knock off Encore 12 Metroplex figures floating about. The website reports several minor differences that may easily be overlooked, so please be aware when you buy this figure.
Unfortunately, large distributors of Transformers toys including Big Bad Toy Store, Ages 3 and Up, and TF Source were led to believe that these were original figures.
The subtle changes on the knock off include the white border surrounding TakaraTomy logo is off, bio card has poor quality, sticker sheets printing is grainy, box art lines have some yellow color, and the common seal has a rectangular border containing bold text with narrow spacing.

It's awesome that they're taking responsibility for shipping KO's (even if it was unintentional) rather than saying "tough luck" and making you fight them like places can sometimes do.

Checked mine last night, it seems legit. I got it from TFSource in October. My grid lines are fine, garage door and missile bay door are molded black plastic, rivets in the tires, correct tire font, and stickers are great. The only thing that set me off was my serial number is H2608.

That makes more sense now. I wasn't doubting that mine was real based soley on the number. But after thinking about it, mine came from an intial batch because I pre-ordered with BBTS. I think its more to do with the look of the number rather then the number itself
