What Do You Think The Transformers 2 Mystery Car Is?

By bwbm on Wednesday, June 11, 2008 @ 10:32:38 AM

There may be a new General Motors vehicle on the "Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen" set, if the images over at Transformers Live Action Movie Blog depict what the site claims it is.

The Live Action Blog speculates that the gray or silver sports car is a Chevrolet Corvette ZR1, set to debut late this summer as a 2009 model.

What do you think about it?

Some points that we have observed:
While the front-end of the vehicle looks very much like a Corvette, but the rear does not seem too much so.

This could be attributed to the quality of the images and that the passenger-side rear view mirror may be distorting our look of the full vehicle, but we at TFormers feel the rear end is way too high for a ZR1.

"Nelson," the administrator of Director Michael Bay's Shoot For the Edit, has previously written that a blue Corvette has been spotted on-set, not a gray or silver-colored version.

Take a look at the images yourself and comment on it now in this TFormers Community thread.

Somehow I doubt it'll be either of those... my bet is Prowl or someone. I mean... look at their choice for Bumblebee... based on that it could be anyone.

It can't be a Koenigsegg, can it? Since that is what it looks like to me, with the low roofline and large bublous butt-end.. UJ

Silver concept car. There is no doubt in my mind this will end up being Jazz 2.0.

I'm guessing a Proto Vette of some sort or at least based off a vette chasis. Being that it's a proto it doesn't have to be a ZR-1 and it certainly wouldn't be the first time they've shown off or made a vette that didn't get release or won't be released for quite some tim... read more
