Win One of 2 Bruticus Figures This Week with DASH

By Jay on Wednesday, December 12, 2012

There have been a lot of great Transformers figures this year, but when it comes to the one topping Christmas lists around the world, it’s almost certainly Bruticus. DASH has already given away Masterpiece figures galore, so now we’ve set our sights on the kids and kids-at-heart of the world and decided to give away a pair of Bruticus figures. All it takes to win Bruticus #1 (The G2 Exclusive version) is to register on Collector-ActionFigures.com. Every new account on the site will count for one entry, so be sure to tell your friends and fellow collectors to sign up too.

We’re also giving away a brand new Fall of Cybertron Bruticus set to one lucky individual in the DASH Collector’s Club. Just upgrade your membership (and get refunded $20 if you do it on 12/12/12) for an opportunity to win Bruticus #2. But you’ll get more than just a chance at a cool figure. You’ll also instantly gain access to the world’s best action figure values, super-detailed collection reports, and full use of a cool mobile app for action figure collectors. And of course you should join the other 2300+ collectors who Like DASH on Facebook, where you’ll gain access to many more contests and great promotions centering around Transformers and more in the toy world.

We want DASH to be the complete package, and we want you to open a great package or two this holiday season.

For complete contest rules and requirements, please email corey@Collector-ActionFigures.com

Jamie Young of the Facebook page Foamtastic Props has constructed his very own life-sized replica of G1 Ravage! Quite possibly a bit larger than life in fact, Young's Ravage is constructed primarily from foam anti-fatigue mats. Young reports that since the photos used in the article were taken, he's added Ravage's hip rockets and also constructed a Laserbeak! Keep reading to see it all!
Just in from the Loyal Subjects are more details on the wave 3 Transformers G1-themed Action Vinyls product line. With 12 new figures are on the way including Rumble and Frenzy, Lazerbeak and Buzzsaw, Sunstreaker, Blitzwing, Hound, and more. The good news is they are now BIGGER and better with more details, accessories and other upgrades coming February 2015. Read on for mo about them now.
Blacklai who we know well for bringing us out first in hand looks at Combiner Wars wave 1 has given us a new gallery featuring Year of The Goat Optimus Prime. The ...unique... clear and gold redeco of Laser Optimus Prime also finds itself with pink parts in various places, as well as working lights. The downside is the lack of factory stickers means the screws on the chest and shoulder parts are fully visible, a distinct downgrade from the original and 2002 Robots in Disguise releases. Keep reading to check out the photos!
Having just yesterday learned of the projected price of this set for Toys R Us in Canada, we have a report of a US sighting of the Platinum Series three pack of the G1 Insecticons. The attractively packaged set was found at a K-Mart in California, and while it's not the $99.99 Toys R Us Canada indicated, it is selling for $79.99. Whether a set of fresh made Insecticons is worth considerably more than the cost of complete vintage toys will have to be up to you. Click through for a photo of the in-store find.
The Transformers Facebook page has updated tonight with a post about Year of The Goat Optimus Prime. Along with declaring it means he's the Greatest Of All Time (GOAT, you see), they also announced that the toy would be coming to "specialty retailers" this Spring. While the deco is rather unusual, the underlying Laser Optimus Prime toy is excellent. The only worry is that with the Insecticon three pack leading the way, it may be quite expensive by the time it gets here!
