Xovergen TrailerForce TF-01 - New Looks at Ultimate Powermaster Optimus Prime Redux
Jack Q - Tuesday, March 13, 2012

Oh yea, now things are getting interesting. Thanks to the amazing toys designers over at Xovergen, we have some first looks at their upcoming TrailerForce TF-01.

This is an accessory upgrade kit for the Classics Voyager Optimus Prime action figure that makes for an ultimate redux of the much loved, but brickish, Power Master Optimus Prime from the G1 series.

The images show the resin protype that is coming together quite brilliantly with and trailer loaded down with weaponry and a nifty Powermaster figure that hangs on the grill. Check out the image after the jump for more details.

I think the ultra sized optimus toy that comes with the ultimate optimus toy,is the best part about the toy. I'm n... read more

PMOP is my most favorite, my most prized (not expensive) transformer. I love that toy, brick and all. When I had the opportunity to finally get the Takara reissue cheap from HLJ, I was in transformers collection heaven. That being said, as much as I like PMOP and think this 3rd party figure is cool... read more

This looks awesome, and since it fits both Classics Prime and PMOP/Ginrai, I'll have to see if I can find the budget for it. Still, I wish Takara would forgo just one Convoy release to make a Ginrai instead. Or Hasbro a PMOP redux. C'mon, I want to give my money rather than the 3rd parties... read more

Man, if that thing fits Classics/Henkei OP AND it's priced around $80 bucks I'll be snatching one up. That thing looks alot better then the brick the original PMOP was.

Isn't it about time Hasbro came out with a decent updated Powermaster Optimus Prime?

It looks like the unofficial Optimal Optimus will have an opponent in the near future. On Facebook, Perfect Effect has released the first tease for a new entry in their Perfect Beast series, a silhouette-style CG render of what is unmistakably Transmetal 2 Megatron. Even in this state it's clear the design has been passed through the Perfect Effect stylizing filter, which may or may not work for some collectors. And don't be surprised to see at least an additional blue version be announced before too long, too... Keep reading to see the full size image.

If you felt that this year's exclusive Primitive Skateboarding Optimus Prime from San Diego Comic Con bore a bit of resemblance to the old exclusive Nucleon Quest Super Convoy redeco of Powermaster Optimus/Super Ginrai from the early 2000s, you weren't alone. Perfect Effect has announced a black redeco of their Jinrai Prime coordinated with the SDCC Optimus. PC-20 Black Jinrai is due out around November, and features a new super mode head unique to this release which, along with the chest plate addon, are decoed to blend in with the SDCC Optimus. Twitter user @TcrackerGenmon has posted some in-hand images of Perfect Effect's PC-16 Jinrai Prime upgrade figure, and it looks really good in full color! The figure replaces the cab on either Titans Return Powermaster Optimus Prime or Legends LG-35 Super Ginrai, and also adds true Powermaster compatibility (for use with the PC-15 upgrade set which includes a Powermaster/Godmaster Ginrai).
