Motto

"Enough talk. It’s time for action!"

Profile

Bumblebee is the "kid" of the team, easily the youngest and the least mature of the Autobots. He's over-eager, over-confident and constantly overcompensating for his diminutive stature. Fast-talking, wise-cracking, scheming and hyperactive, Bumblebee is not nearly as cool as he imagines himself to be. Then again, nobody could possibly be as cool as Bumblebee imagines himself to be. He's a total showoff, always acting on impulse and rarely considering the consequences. And he's always getting in way over his head, although most things are way over his head. But don't mention that to Bumblebee; he's very sensitive about his height.

Character Bio

Bumblebee is the "kid" of the team, easily the youngest, and most immature of the Autobots. He’s a showoff and acts solely on impulse; he behaves like a rebellious teenager with a sarcastic, wise-cracking, attitude and disdain for authority. As far as his superhero status goes, Bumblebee naturally digs the spotlight and will do anything to have it shinning brightly, and exclusively on him. His big mouth, brash tone, and "bring it on" attitude sometimes get him in over his head.

Robot Mode Power

Two sparkplug- looking cannons allow Bumblebee to send electric force blasts that stun his enemies or blast away through whatever’s in his path. Bumblebee not only has super-electric stingers, but he is the fastest Autobot in both robot and vehicle mode.

Tech Specs

  • Energy stingers fire electrical pulses
  • Rocket assisted jumps
  • Totally fearless

    Voice Actor Bio:
Shortly after arriving in Los Angeles at the age of 4, Robinson began his career in entertainment in a national commercial for Jello Pudding Pops with Bill Cosby. He went on to do many more commercials, and his on-camera career developed quickly with roles in The Jeffersons, Hill St. Blues, Night Court, A Different World and Star Trek, Sabrina the Teenage Witch and CSI: New York. His feature film credits include Enemy Mine with Louis Gossett Jr. and Dennis Quaid. Robinson also has quite an extensive background in voice work having begun with a role in Hanna-Barbera’s Flintstone Kids cartoon, for which a character was actually developed in his own likeness. He went on to lend his voice to characters in The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Pinky and the Brain, Saban Entertainment’s What’s With Andy and Static Shock as well as voice work in the animated feature Brother Bear.

    Review

One of the more infamous robots of the TF line that hasn't seen much action until lately is Bumblebee. He has enjoyed a very long hiatus up until the Classics line a couple of years ago. He is now featured in the Animated series, but with a whole new attitude. No longer is he the mild mannered over-achiever. Now he's the young bot that has to prove himself, as well as his ego. This review focuses on his action figure. Read Review
