Another Iteration of Revenge of the Fallen Arcee Figure?
by bwbm on Thursday Jul 2nd, 2009
"Vansch" of the HK-TF forums has posted a few shots of a never-before-seen Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Arcee figure. Unlike the previous figures we have seen before, this version actually has feet with wheels located above each of them. The figure also seems to have a full body, rather than the hollow-behind-the-chest-plate design the combiner motorcycle versions embody. Other iterations of the character include the Deluxe version and the one packaged with Human Alliance Skids.

ILM Peaked at 83% Rendering Capacity For Revenge IMAX Shots
by bwbm on Tuesday Jun 30th, 2009
Devastator in Transformers Revenge of the FallenSeeing Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen in IMAX may be a treat for moviegoers, but it was also the biggest project Industrial Light and Magic (ILM) has ever done in the entire history of the digital effects studio. "Getting our pipeline to handle IMAX resolution has been quite a challenge," says Jeff White, associate visual effects supervisor. To transfer these robots onto the IMAX prints, the studio did 4K resolution scans (yes, really) for the IMAX film. Read more.

Could Revenge of the Fallen Be the Most Successful Critical Failure Ever?
by bwbm on Monday Jun 29th, 2009
Many of you check the sites like Rotten Tomatoes and Meta Critic and have learned of the low ratings critics have been scoring Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (20% and 36, respectively). However, despite the critics, the film still wound up breaking box office records this weekend, with people dumping $201.2 million directly into Michael Bay & Co's pockets. This has led people to ask, "could this be the most successful critical failure ever?"

Movie Images

In a final round of database updates for today, we give you updated images of Stratosphere. Some earlier images showed the prototype with a back mounted missile. That missile is no longer on the production run figure, but you do get a mini-legend Optimus Prime! Click here to view the images.

More updates are being posted on the Movie database, as we have Wave 2 legend class figures in hand as well. Check out The Fallen, Mudflap and Grindor in their mini-me versions by clicking the above links.

The second wave of scout class figures is filtering into retailers and we managed to find them! The movie database is updated with images for Dune Runner, Reverb and Scalpel Click on the respective links to view them.

Thanks to "TFCtoys" we have a preview image of the new Gears of War 2 accessory set they are working on. The picture includes Revenge of the Fallen Leader Class Optimus Prime wielding his guns from the movie. It could be assumed that the new Gears of War set will be designed for Revenge of the Fallen figures, but only time will tell.

Not in box shots, just box shots. The Arker has shown off some package images of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Autobot Strike Mission four pack. The figures packaged are Autobots Breakaway and Longarm versus Decepticons Sideways and Rampage.

Thanks to "tfctoy" we have in-package shots of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Deluxe Stalker Scorponok. The figure is a black and gray repaint of the Transformers Scorponok. Unfortunately, the pics are too small to read the bio, but if somebody would like to give it a show at transcribing it, we wouldn't stop you.

Continuing the series of retoolings and repaints coming out of the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen line when the original figures barely have time to sit on the pegs comes Deluxe Thrust. The figure owes its base mold to Breakaway. Unfortunately, Thrust gets the short end of the stick for this line, as Ramjet and Skywarp both received the Transformers Voyager Starscream repaint treatment.

We just received some official shots of the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Supreme class Devastator figure.

Interviews

The Wall Street Journal recently sat down with Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Director Michael Bay. The interview covers all kinds of aspects of the film, including his relationship with Hasbro, possibilities of a sequel, as well as his futures of filmmaking. Some highlights after the jump.

The segment with Megan Fox on Entertainment Tonight aired last night on the widely-distributed television show. The interview with Ms. Fox wasn't anything spectacular. They talked about the film and her career. Video embedded after the jump. If you want, you can just mute the audio, or something.

The LA Times has posted an extensive article on Michael Bay who's at the helm of The 2007 Transformers and 2009 Revenge of The Fallen movie productions. The article touches on Bay's "outsider" relationship with Hollywood and his drive to create better movies, faster and under budget. If you thought 2007's movie was BIG at 15 terrarbybe of storage, ROTF is at a record breaking 140 terrabytes. That sounds like a A LOT of robot action to me. Check the actice now at LATimes.com.

Entertainment Weekly recently had the chance to sit down with Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen star Shia LaBeouf. In the interview, Mr. LaBeouf talks about how his hand is doing nine months after he flipped his Ford F-150 and his decision to return to work. He also says that Revenge was "the hardest thing I've ever had to do in my life." He said that he "got 25 stitches making this movie, in various parts of [his] body -- stuff that had nothing to do with my hand."
