The Winter Wonderfest 2016 is over, but it certainly didn't go without some good stuff to show. In the time since we reported last night, more photos have been posted from the event showing more detail on Masterpiece Optimus Primal, such as the furry appearance derived entirely through paint apps. We also have more detail shots of Blast Off and the Combaticons, including another look at their color promo poster, and new tonight we have showings from Prime 1 Studios with an array of movie-inspired statues, and another appearance of Heroes of Steel Optimus. Once again we're on the verge of a growing number of production side tidbits for a Transformers movie. Website My Entertainment World has updated with a very brief listing for Transformers 5, revealing when filming for the next movie is due to begin. With the publicity around the Writers' Room project recently we can at least hope that there will be a completed script by the time they fire up the cameras, though absence of such certainly hasn't stopped production in the past... The Hollywood Reporter has reported that a live-action Transformers event called Transformers Live will open in China in 2017. The event is said to "be a cross between an action-adventure spectacle, a theme park attraction and a theatrical show," and is expected to feature custom robotics among other features. Universal Studios Hollywood is gearing up the Chinese New Year with celebrations featuring Lunar New Year celebration that begins nect Saturday, January 30 to continue through Sunday, February 14, 2016. The celbration on the Universal Plaza will feature special decorations, performances and Megatron Speaks Mandarin from Transformers the Ride-3D as the star of the show. Nevermind they missed a golden opportunity to bring Optimus Primal, but that's Hollywood for you. Read on for the official details on Megatron, below.



Just as Michael Bay always comes back to do the next Transformers movie, it seems now a reliable trend that Michael Bay will choose Chicago as a shooting location. Maybe he just enjoys Portillo's, and I couldn't blame him for that, but whatever the cause it sounds like Chicago will see more robot action. In an interview with WGN Radio's Dean Richards focused on Bay's movie 13 Hours, the subject of Transformers and a return to Chicago come up briefly. Thanks to EDFHOBBIES who offers a first look at the 2016 Chevy Camaro 6th generation car release. While this one has been customized somewhat, it cannot be denied that Chevy is continuing to how love for Transformers Bumblebee namesake. According to the post, the black stripes and Autobot symbols ,and other custom touches were added after delivery. So we don't know if this is an official Transformers model, but it is still a Bumblebee to the owner and many fans.



Transformers 5 director Michael Bay recently sat down with Collider to talk about his latest movie, 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi that will be coming to theaters next weekend. The interview is pretty much focused on the new movie, but we do get some comments from Bay on what's in the works for Transformers 5 and the recent developments with the Writers Room. According to Bay, we may be seeing some historical elements and or smaller productions.



Rolling Stone has published an interview with Michael Bay, regarding his movie "13 Hours", but within that article comes the confirmation of what we've all expected: Michael Bay is back on board for the fifth Transformers movie. Bay himself seems to be losing count at this point, and expressed once again that this would be his last time in the director's chair for the franchise. The interviewer pointed out how it's not the first time he's made such a claim, but Bay insists that he really means it for real, this time. Barret-Jackson has announced that they will be handling the auctions of the stunt vehicles representing Optimus Prime from the first three movies, and Bumblebee's mainly black "Classic Camaro" form seen in Age of Extinction. These vehicles will apparently be part of the larger Scottsdale 2016 vehicle auction happening during the last week of January. With the listings are a batch of nice photos of both vehicles. Vending Times has reported on the third iteration of Sega's Transformers: Human Alliance arcade cabinet. An arcade-style lightgun shooter, this new "Super Deluxe" version of the cabinet sports an 80-inch screen and mounted lightguns with recoil action. Said to be "about the size of a kid's bedroom," it should be pretty easy to tell if the version you see is the Super Deluxe. Keep reading for more details and a link!


Sega has released a special version of their Transformers Human Alliance arcade game that has surfaced in the Tokyo Joypolis arcade! Titled Transformers: Human Alliance Special, the new version features a gyroscopic cockpit that can turn the player in any direction. Not a game we'd recommend playing on a full stomach, but a pretty interesting concept. Keep reading for video and details!


After taking China's movie boxoffice by storm this summer. It should be no surprise that Universal have announced they will be opening a new theme park in Beijing, as reported by the Seattle Times. The explosive success of Transformers: Age of Extinction all but ensures a place in the new Theme Park that is said to cost $3.3-billion for the 300-acre entertainment facility.

Limited to a run of 1500, with 500 including an exclusive severed Brawl head, Ironhide sports LEDs in his head and his cannons, and will set you back $1600 USD. Luckily there's a nice gallery of photos available so you can give it a nice, thorough look-over before you buy - keep reading to see!


3A has published photos and release information on their Premium Scale Collectible Figure version of Movie Starscream! Coming to the Bambaland 3A store on Friday the 13th, the figure will run $430 US. Pricy, yes- but not unreasonable for a 16" tall figure with seventy-five points of articulation. Thanks to our old friend Sean Long, who's posted a video from the SacAnime 2015 festival held in , Sacramento, CA last weekend. Perter Cullen, the voice of Optimus Prime made an appearance. It is way too early to know for sure, but he did say that Transformers 5 and 6 may be going back to the roots when asked about the concern about the darkness of the series so far.
