Yesterday evening I happened to find myself driving next to a truck en route to Detroit carrying some of cars for the filming of Transformers 3. The small black cars have been previously identified as the revamped (and hopefully less annoying) versions of "The Twins." The Chevrolet Spark is the production version of the Chevrolet Beat Concept, which served as Skids' vehicle mode in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Read more.

Well it looks like there's less than meets to eye to the previous report that TF3 had surpased the $400 Million production mark. From a statement posted to his blog
shootfortheedit.com, Michael Bay has stated somewhat angrily judging from the lack of grammar that "Lester is moron. He has no clue about much, other then to try to get internet hype..." It is not exactly clear if Bay is denying the $400M or if he is just trying to distract people when he goes on to comment "Movie is $ just above Revenge."
Forbes.com has named Shia LaBeouf number one on the list of actors that give the studios the most bang for their buck, Reuters reports. According to the financial news' own calculations, Mr. LaBeouf makes $81 for the studios for every $1 he is paid for making a film. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen made $836 million worldwide box office and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, which made $787 million. Anne Hathaway (Alice In Wonderland), Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter series), Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), and Cate Blanchett (Robin Hood) round out the top five, respectively.
Lestor Speight, who stars as Hardcore Eddie alongside Tyrese Gibson (USAF Retired Master Sergeant Robert Epps) in Transformers 3, has revealed that the film has surpassed Titanic as the largest budgeted film ever, and also revealed additional information on his character. Speaking with Movie Mikes, Mr. Speight says that Transformers 3 surpassed the $400 Million mark and is "still going north!"

As Transformers 3 filming wraps up in Chicago by September 1st, the crew is preparing for their arrival and filming at the Packard Plant in Detroit, Michigan. The Packard Plant is an abandoned car assembly plant for the now defunct Packard automotive company. The images taken by Detroit Urbex show off some rather large guns and wreckage. It is unclear if Detroit will be labeled as such in the film. Filming is expected to take somewhere between two to three weeks.
