Hasbro Asia has released images of some new releases due at the end of the year. First is a Human Alliance 2-pack of Barricade and the Unreleased-in-the-USA Soundwave due in December 2014- but likely more exciting to most is MP-11SW Skywarp, due in January 2015! Unlike the US release from many years back, this is the revised Seeker mold from MP-11 Starscream that recently saw use in a US release as Acid Storm. Keep reading to see the images!



Following a tease in the hobby magazine earlier this week, TakaraTomy has revealed full details on Micron Carnivac. Recolored (yet again) from one of the Transformers: Cybertron Mini-Cons, Carnivac would likely be intended as a stand in for Lockdown's wolf-like cyborgs that menaced the human props in Age of Extinction. The Micron will be available at Toys R Us locations in Japan with the purchase of 3000 Yen or more worth of Transformers products during the campaign period. TakaraTomy's website has been updated with an image and information about the upcoming release of Black Knight Strafe. Following on from Grimlock, Slug, and Scorn before, Strafe is being redecoed in a black-heavy look and will be available via Cybertron Satellite locations throughout Japan. Starting in December, this figure will be available for 3200 Yen, but of course will cost quite a bit more for those of us who must rely on middlemen and secondary retailers! The official Transformers Facebook page has posted a selection of concept art images for various Age of Extinction characters. Representing about half of the main characters of the movie plus a Vehicon body design, this gives a detailed look at several of the character models that would go through additional refinements before being fully produced for visual effects in the movie. It's that time of the month again. TAG Hobby has released scans from Figure Oh (Figure King) magazine showing a variety of new photos of upcoming Japanese Legends and Lost Age EX (Generations Deluxe) figures! Most notable are better images of Legends Arcee, whose G1 paint job is looking a fair bit better than Hasbro's version. Keep reading for the photos, and more details!



Just in via the Variety youtube channel is a new behind the scenes video from the Transformers Age of Extinction. Here we a look at what goes into the sound design on this movies. Not only does Michael Bay like everything to look and sound cool. He pushed the edge on it creating BIG sounds for GIANT robots. Watch the video with sound re-recording mixers Greg P. Russell and Scott Millan who talk about what is like working on the Transformers Age of Extinction film.



Hasbro held their quarterly earnings call where they reporting positive sales accross the board with the big push from the summer's Transformers: Age of Extinction movie success and support from other properties focused on Marvel and My Little Pony. Hasbro also used this event to announce the new relationships they have with Discovery after the demise of The Hub network and have announced their new division Allspark Pictures that will focus on the production their top brands for of Movies and Television.



Jacquelyn Orenza has posted more images to Facebook, this time of the new third wave of the Custom Kreon assortment. This wave focuses on the Age of Extinction Dinobots and their knightly status, and features a variety of weapons, helmets and other accessories that look like they'd have been right at home in the Dungeons & Dragons Kre-O line. Our thanks to Blacklai who has shared more than one hundred photos of the Platinum Edition Dinobots Unleashed set. This set renders Grimlock, Scorn, Slug, Strafe and Slog in decos more in line with the movie's depiction of mostly colorless robot dinosaurs. These figures all feature plenty of chrome and silver paint with hints here and there of other colors in the individual decos. If you spend 3000 Yen or more at a given Japanese store during the month of October, you can get the Prime Axe or the Tricera Mace! Alfes has both but is having a lot more fun with the Prime Axe, showing it off with a Movie Prime as well as with both War For and Fall Of Cybertron Optimus Primes. Keep reading to see the photos!

After taking China's movie boxoffice by storm this summer. It should be no surprise that Universal have announced they will be opening a new theme park in Beijing, as reported by the Seattle Times. The explosive success of Transformers: Age of Extinction all but ensures a place in the new Theme Park that is said to cost $3.3-billion for the 300-acre entertainment facility.


An official site for the Transformers Human Alliance Game has been launched by Sega Japan with what appears to be a game based on the characters from the first three Transformers movies. The trailer shows a Shia-like character by the name of Sam along with renderings of the Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Starscream and other characters like Shockwave lurking on the site page, in their pre-Age of Extinction forms. The Age of Extinction mobile game is now available for free on iTunes! Described as a "Combat Runner," the game presumably entails running forward and avoiding obstacles while also shooting things. Check out the full article for the iTunes description and a link to the game!

Just up on the Official Paramount Pictures page on Pintrest, are some free Transformers Halloween goodies. They have uploaded Autobot and Decepticon masks that you can print out at home to create you own Transformers halloween costume this year. They have also posted a couple of Transformers Age of Excintction banners you can print out for parties and creative uses.


Singapore superfans Planet Iacon have posted images of an upcoming Platinum Edition set that includes five Age of Extinction Dinobots in eye-popping silver chrome. Grimlock, Slug, Strafe, Slog, and Scorn have all been rendered almost completely in vac-metal silver whilst retaining highlights in their personal color schemes. This makes the Dinobots closer to their in-film color schemes for Transformers 4. Also: blinding. Keep reading to see the pictures, but try not to stare directly at them for too long!

The Japan Times has published an article about Age of Extinction, its Japanese connections, and the samurai-inspired changes to the character designs. Bay also reveals that despite vowing that Dark of the Moon was his last Transformers film he was "prevailed upon, expertly" by a group or person he does not name to direct TF4. The Huffington Post have posted an interview with three time Transformers movie writer Ehren Kruger who penned the latest "Transformers: Are of Extinction" movie that swept box offices last weekend. In the article the writer shares a number of insights about how the so-called new trilogy was decided on as well as many of the aspects be brings to the table. We learn about director Michael Bay's idea to make this new forray a "Father-Daughter" story as well as the origins of Lockdown and the one character Bay will never do (which means he will, at some point).
