Live-action Transformers composer Steve Jablonsky has posted an illuminating explanation to Facebook to help us understand why the Age of Extinction (and, as it turns out, Dark of the Moon) soundtracks have been removed from iTunes. In short, it has to do with music licensing fees that kick in at a certain threshold- and Paramount doesn't want to have to pay them. Keep reading for Jablonsky's full statement!

The official TakaraTomy PR Twitter account for Transformers has posted a new photo of Army Camo Hound, a recolor of the Generations Voyager mold that is part of a special box set with the Japanese home video release of Age of Extinction. It's not a huge difference from the mass release in either country, but it looks pretty nice and should be a nice bonus for those who want the Japanese Blu-Ray version of Transformers 4. Keep reading to see the photo!

Michael Bay's official account has posted a 10-minute outtake reel to Vimeo! Plenty of behind-the-scenes action to be seen, along with a couple of cameras falling victim to the master of explosions. Also notable: Kelsey Grammer covered in blood and ash, saying "I was this close!" Keep reading to see it for yourself!

A Japanese fan has reviewed Advanced Series Armor Knight Optimus Prime on YouTube! AD31 has been the focus of a lot of attention this week, and with good reason. A refinement of the Age of Extinction Generations Leader class Optimus Prime, Armor Knight/"Saikyou"/Ultimate Mode Optimus Prime sports retooled parts to reflect the final render for TF4 Prime, plus a highly detailed deco and a face-swapping gimmick to give both masked and unmasked looks in a single figure. Keep reading to see the video- hope you speak Japanese!

Autobase Aichi has just posted an album of ToysRUs Japan's exclusives for November, including Advanced Series EX Rollbar and the promotional Carnivac Mini-Con. Rollbar is a recolor of Generations Deluxe Skids in a color scheme similar to the Rollbar figure in the Breakout Battle Platinum Edition set. Carnivac is a recolor of Classics Mini-Con Overbite, and is a gift to those who spend at least three thousand Yen on Transformers in one visit to a Japanese TRU. Keep reading to see photos!

Our thanks to Alfes2010 who has followed up a round of early unboxing shots with two full review galleries of the just released Knight Armor/Ultimate Power Optimus prime. TakaraTomy's retool of the Leader Class figure to bring it more in line with the upgraded appearance of Optimus from near the end of the movie. We've mirrored a number of photos highlighting differences and direct comparisons, and there are many more waiting at Alfes2010's blog. Keep reading for the pictures and a link to the review pages!

In what has to be the precise opposite of the design's intent, TakaraTomy is giving away a pair of Lucky Draw Evasion Mode Optimus Primes as part of the promo campaign for the Blu-Ray/DVD release of Transformers Age of Extinction in Japan (where it's known as Lost Age). Also up for grabs are other unique prizes -keep reading for the full rundown!
