Video: Fan-Built Replica of Movie Optimus Prime Rolls Out

The Youtube channel Barcroft Cars has a "Ridiculous Rides" segment posted recently, spotlighting the end result of a particular project: a working replica of Optimus Prime's truck mode from the live action movie series. According to the video, embedded below, Joe Fiduccia started in the summer of 2016 on this project, which eventually involved as many as 25 people. In the video, Fiduccia states that one of his first actions on this project was to seek approval for the build, which was in fact granted by Hasbro. The replica is admittedly not 100% accurate, as at least a few modifications were necessary to facilitate actually being able to drive the truck, but apart from that the detail level is painstaking - even as far as a 1:1 scale sword that apparently can be attached to the truck, which sadly is largely overlooked in the video. The one thing not covered is how much it costs to insure - and we're sure it's not cheap!
